^He'll be 29 in November next year. Made his debut in 2014 as a 21 year old.

After tonights gross inaccuracy, maybe its time, just maybe, that we went after Big Ben, we definitely need a proven full forward, who can kick goals, sticks out like dogs balls now. Ben might be the answer, on a 3 yr contract. Just saying.

we need a forward badly, but not Brown.
I reckon defenders have figured him out.
I wish we had one of the King brothers

Didn't realise he so old.

Late starter?

AFL debut at 21 1/2.

He played in the VFL first, after rejecting Hine's offer of a rookie spot because he wanted a spot on the main list.

Too one dimensional. If he does not mark the ball he is out of the contest. We need players who give us something when they do not have the ball

I'm not sold that Cox's career is over.
I hope he comes back into the team soon. One good game and everyone will realise how valuable he is. He just needs that one good game to get that confidence. (Easier said than done!)
I agree, his form hasn't been good, but our delivery into the forward line has been bad. It think Mason, one on one, is more dangerous than BB, whereas BB is better on the lead.
Opposition teams bottle our forward line up, which makes a lead up marking a rarity. Cox one on one in the goalsquare is very hard to match up on.

Love to see Cox mark the ball surely.
Love to see crumbers at his feet.
Love to see others mark when they have the lesser defenders because the main one goes to Cox.
Love to see Cox kick a bag soon and regain confidence.
Failing this, love to see him let go for a solid forward who contributes consistently.
Love to see Collingwood making more of the forward fifty entries.
Love to see Collingwood wining due to forward dominance.

Im convinced that the whole team has to be firstly able to play the game ie elite disposal skills then if youre tall thats the bonus.

The argument about being tall or short is very old school thinking.

Mason Cox should be commended for his efforts in getting to where he is but its not winning us games on a consistent basis. Give me a team of 190 odd cms who can play the game.

If for any possible reason a club offers us something for Cox at seasons end in a trade, jump on it straight away.

Elite disposals with a footy brain any day thanks. Not an athletic runner with poor disposal skills.....CMON folks its 2020.

What was the straw that broke the camels back for Cox I wonder...does not look like he is going to get another look

Spot on Comrade, at the very least, very least, Cox is so bloody big, he hast to be monitored constantly by the Opp. defenders usually two on him, which leaves one of ours free as he knocks the ball down to our crumbing small forwards, like elliot, or de goey And he can help Grundy in the ruck, and he can kick the occassional goal, hes preety accurate id play him for sure now. Hes showed he can do it, too. Idea Idea

Sorry its at a point where it feels like we are accepting mediocrity. We should be getting well rounded games from all our list, not have a bloke that can bring the ball to ground and thats what you would more than likely get from him....naaaah uh uh. Shouldnt be thinking along those lines ...think everyone contributes alot

Spot on. When all he can do is provide a contest and get the ball to ground, then he isn't really our guy anymore.
