What will surely last is people who don't like something continuing to waste e their time talking about it! Such negativity over something that has zero effect on you whatsoever, life is too short! Will your headstone say 'I told you it wouldn't last'. But then at least that will be partly true!

Hear hear. Its seems those with least interest are those most obsessed

Well if the mods did the right thing and created a separate forum for women's football I bet only the fans would go and comment.

Collingwood BigFooty has done it and so should Nick's.

Been thinking the same thing. Then anyone interested in it can go there and those of us who don't rate it won't bother. Makes sense.

It should definitely have it's own forum. If we're separating VFL (which has actual real crossover with AFL) and other AFL then why would women's football or Netball be different? I don't see the logic when other AFL and VFL has more to do with the Collingwood men's team.

Not a huge deal, because the seasons won't cross over. But when doing a quick check of topics it's a little annoying to have unrelated stuff cluttering up the forum, especially when topic names are not always as informative as they could be.

Will the league last? I don't see why not. I may even have some small interest in it when the standard improves, but it's never going to be even at the level of VFL.

I don't have a problem with the women's league, it's fantastic and long overdue. What does irk me a bit is some of the discussion around it. Direct comparison to men's wages in some misguided equal pay argument, and talk around women deserving more attention when lower men's leagues with a far higher standard get less of it. All for equality but the fact is that in sports men are measurably superior. The push to consider women equally is political correctness of the craziest sort.

And I reckon EVERYONE here would have liked it a lot more if we had won those first two games.

Soccer and tragic are two words that go together IMO.

yet, the two Melb teams pack em out at Etihad, they have a big following, both our melb sides. I have two mates who are soccer nuts, I take a mild interest, but I will always prefer our game. Cool

True, but then you feel the same way about the men's team, your only sighted these days when we lose. Last night vocal when we were down, where is your post game post?

I went to bed after Sinclair went down & only saw on FB the scores this morning.
I was buggered, I spent all day yesterday helping out at eldest child Swim Carnival. So even if we were winning I wouldn't have stayed up anyway...
I will change my tune in September if we're in the 8.

OMG, you actually still don't drive a freaking Punchbuggy do ya ?? LOL, ha I had one in my wayward youth, I put iron cross transfers on both doors to give it a more Red Baron look, took it to Sunbury rock festival and picked up two hippies on the way, those were the days. It ran well, only died cos I forgot to put Oil in it, and the engine blew up coming home from Hanging Rock. Ahh, the memories, more freedom back then, on the road. Joffa loves soccer, so look out, he wont take soccer dissing much longer. Razz Cool
