The fact that a google search on the mans name only comes up with the Guardian and sources that reference the Guardian suggests to me it's a left inspired beat up.
Checking out the author of the articles bio brief also suggests far from an unbiased reporting of facts. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

^ Your politics may not align with theirs, but that doesn't mean that the newspaper lacks credibility. All newspapers have ideological biases of some kind. The fact that you couldn't find other stories about this suggests that they did the investigative work. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Or that other news sources did and decided it was a non story.
Just because your politics DOES align with theirs doesn't mean that they Do have credibility.
Yes all news sources have biases, as do the reporters. The Aged is editorially left biased but also has contributors who are from the right, the Guardian is further left than the Aged and provides little balance so you need to be aware of both when you read anything anywhere. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

As someone who reads a lot of online journalism, I'm somewhat aware of which newspapers have a reputation for credibility and good track record with accurate reporting and those which don't have either. Thus, The Guardian (left) and the Wall Street Journal (right) are respected sources whereas the Australian Daily Telegraph (right) and the Huffington Post (left) generally aren't. This isn't just my opinion, or that of people who share my political outlook – it's well established and has a lot to do with their journalistic practices (that is, not just republishing any old PR shit that gets put in front of them). _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

That's an overall assessment and doesn't factor in the credibility or biases of individual contributors. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
