Happy Hunting Ground is another cliché sadly gone the way of 'mullet at the back, perm at the front' hairdo

The only difference between last week and this week was the result.

If you think the effort was any different you are a [deleted for graphic use of profanities]

Such a shame you're so limited that you cannot express yourself without the use of profanities. I'm sure there's a course for that.

The danger here for the club, though, and the AFL in general, is that if you treat fans like consumers, you'll get consumerist behavior from fans. Is that really what the clubs and AFL want?

If a corporation doesn't satisfy, the consumer doesn't buy. Collingwood's win/loss record has deteriorated. Crowds have dropped. Maybe consumers have stopped buying. Hawthorn can draw 80k to one game at the MCG, yet 20k at the same ground against a weaker team. Maybe consumers are exercising discernment.

Loyalty is not something a corporation is entitled to expect from consumers. But in a sporting competition, there are always losing clubs, by definition, and loyalty is desirable. Encouraging consumerist behavior seems unwise in this context.

The way it comes across at the moment, clubs and the AFL seem to want one-way loyalty: consumers who keep paying up even when the "corporation" fails to deliver.

Then are why such a big difference in the Results?

That we can lose by 10 Goals to a team that is not a heap Better then GWS but then Beat GWS?

Then are we that bad of a team then?

Exactly DTM.

So we're a little better than GWS but a whole lot worse than the lions.

Wow something to be proud of.

1) the cheer squad is a joke. Remember when the cheer squad was 25 meters long and 20 rows deep with heaps of banners and flags. Get the cheer squad filled up and a hell of a lot bigger. What is that crap I hear that u have to apply for the cheer squad to see if are of good character? Give me a spell and fill them up!

2) Sunday twilight games are simply not for the pies

3) the afl as a whole is very boring in the way it is played now. No full forwards kicking big bags and this rolling maul resembles an under 11 game.

4) so many rule changes and interpretations that I have no idea what holding the ball is anymore. Remember when the whole crowd used to yell "ball". It was great theatre.

5) make it easier and less expensive for people to go to footy. Why go to the footy when u can just watch it on foxtel live or go to a pub and watch it live

6) let people on the ground after the game for a kick.

Put the main problem is the style of the game that most footy supporters hate. Too over coached and over umpired. Fitness staff have gone crazy and drop the rotations to 50 per game. That will make the coaches play a more positional game and open the game up again. Full forwards may kick 100 goals again...

Fix these issues and footy as a whole will be ok. If they don't it will die a slow death
