Just another self promoting bloke who loves the limelight but never the hard grind of a boring trival life that most of us live. |
Relevance?
I work my arse off too, working very long hours & the last 16 years lots of friggin' shift work. I've always worked very hard & long hours. My parents always instilled the need to work & study hard no matter what endeavour you're in.
Relevance to H?
Zilch, nada, niente, bugger-all and SFA. |
To each their own WPT.
I happen to be a Social Worker who specialises in the empowerment of oppressed individuals/families/country communities through teaching independence, inter-dependence and capacity development among other advocacy roles that attempt to empower people.
I don't believe or agree with people playing the race card, Victim card or even the false poverty/money/funding demanding card at the drop of a hat in order to gain rewards that are not meant for them. The reasons have to be real and genuine, not with hidden agendas behind them and being led to me being treated like a naive fool. Maybe I'm de-sensitized with such stories but Harry seems to be eternally bloody whinging. Like I asked the other day, when has he EVER said something positive about the Collingwood Football Club? This is a dead giveaway as a symptom of seeking reward rather than acknowledging the facts behind his football and support from the Club leading to other personal achievements he wouldnt have dreamed of as a kid wherever he was. It is confusing reality with currently being disillusioned, maybe about something else but using the club as a prop because of the weight behind it getting the publicity he so clearly desires _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Lazza, stop quoting desk calander truisms to me as though your making a profound point: "Each to their own".
Why didn't you feel the need to post that to Mason Cox heart-felt but frankly irrelevant contribution here.
I feel the same way with your stories.
A very decent way to go about things and it works for you: you do it your way. I say this without condescension but I continue to find it irrelevant to what H has posted. if we had a thread about how I face race issues in life / work etc then that would be entirely relevant
Much earlier on we had a person take offence at an acedemic concept a generalization called "white prevelge". That person overcame tremendous hurdles to make a go of it, someone praised him for it, if it was in link called hurdles I've had to endure / face / overcome that should be #1.
However it's relevance to H is zero, zilch & bugger-all.
H does it his way. No more & no less. However the list of irrelevancies dressed up as arguments to balme, name call, label, take offence by is seriously misplaced in this thread IMO as is this discussion.
Truth never lies.
And you're a social worker .
Don't get me started on bloody social workers: we'd need a separate thread and that would mean war. I'd win that war of course because the social workers would be at a meeting and finish at 4.30 pm. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Thank you about your typical and nutty generalisations about Social Workers which shows an amazing lack of knowledge and a naivety I honestly didnt expect from you. I wont even attempt to mention the reasons my work mobile goes off at 2 am or so and the type of crises I have to deal with. After all, I'm just a mere Social Worker. BTW, I have never criticised your work, whatever it is that you do. But I wont on the other hand justify the work I do. (Leave at 4.30 my arse!!!)
Look we are on completely different planets and pages to say the least so finding common ground in this case is nigh impossible with the totally ignorant attitudes you display. Best that we leave it at that on ANY subject. And never the Twain shall meet _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. My opinion doesn't meet with your approval. Shux. Next time I'll ask your opinion whenever post member? _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Thanks Member but looks like I totally got my impression of WTP very wrong. That is my bad. I thought he was much better than that to be frank. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination.
