um....obvious much |
Not obvious to some here who don’t rate him. |
Yes but I always find that there is a quotient of posters that disagree with the majority about the rating given to certain player. Down the track they are proven right or admit they were wrong. Some don’t do either. _________________ I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️ |

A very interesting vid that —now I’ve never payed any mind to Mitchell but he was getting ball out of contests for his or other teammates use
And he wears the number 3 which was worn by another great Hawk—Leigh “Barney” Matthews _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Can see Mitchell getting in and under and dishing out to Nick Daicos running through the middle.
If only we keep Grundy and use the McStay money to sign Mitchell instead |

If we can get him and he is affordable Mitchell would be a great addition - an extractor of the highest order who could wax with Adams when he is fit _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |

I’m not much of a fan but interesting to note while still being on the outer at Hawks, he averaged around 30 touches at 80 % efficiency over his last few games. His metres gained werent too bad either for a player who historically seldom pumped the ball forward during his career.
It’s all relative, if he comes cheap enough, the club needs to at least consider the opportunity. |

Considering we were bottom 4 for clearances and contested possession I’d argue he is exactly what we need. Don’t think we will be able to score as freely as we did from D50 next year. Good teams have a habit of working you out so we need to get better in other areas. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Agree.
Also, I bet that we either receive a pick with him, or pay almost nothing. Hawks are desperate to offload his salary and we can give him a new contract over a couple of years to spread the cost out. There's no competition from what I can see, so I doubt we will have to overpay.
Will be a great get. _________________ I would be ashamed to admit that I had risen from the ranks. When I rise it will be with the ranks... - Eugene Debs |

Tom turns 30 in May next year but Jan of next year Sidey turns 32 and Pendles 35
So if he has Pendles longevity he has say 5 years barring injury _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Worth mentioning just how good our fitness staff have been this year. A few years ago and Mitchell would be a worry with injuries and age. I feel confident now. Used to be rare for blokes to play on post 30 but fitness and conditioning is so good these days it’s become common. Cats just won a flag! |

If he is so good, why are the Hawks letting him go? |

Absolutely! The extractor we need. No need to look too closely at efficiency etal, he'll be getting hammered as he gets in and under and extracts the pill consistently. Talk of not having Adams and Mitchell in the same team is stupid. We need to improve our clearances. Here's a potential solution. _________________ Billy Picken, the great No. 25 in the sky! |
