Dumb, so dumb.

Gonna be shit to watch on TV

and further proof that the AFL think that the game is what makes AFL exciting....its the crowd!!

Doesn't matter how good GC and GWS games are at home, they are boring as there is no atmosphere.

AFL has decided Round 1 goes ahead but reserve the right to reconsider as more virus updates come to hand

Mixed reactions from clubs and players on playing to vacant ground

Some say postpone games for a period

The sensible, responsible and proper course of action is to ban the crowds till the Coronavirus is more settled. It would be seriously jeopardizing the health of fellow Australians by playing the match in front of crowds at this point in time.

To play in front of crowds now would be the dumbest action let alone the most irresponsible course of action the AFL could allow. Despite how inconvenient this is a short measure of prevention is a hell of a lot better than a cure.

I can’t believe people would be so stupid to think the show should go on now. Listen to the health experts not the pollies or what your friends think.

(I would much rather watch the match live than have to watch it on TV)

Watt Price Tully, I'm definitely not saying crowds should be allowed. I'm all for delays of events. I'm agreeing with Whatsinaname that without crowds, footy isn't the same and the AFL doesn't grasp that. The AFL's going ahead with crowd-less matches mostly for the TV networks, not public health. $$$ Dill McLachlan should have fronted media, pretty weak of him.

^ Cheers Mr Myagi.

Hopefully it will only be a few games / rounds without crowds. It’s going to be weird watching the match without crowds, that’s for sure.

Breaking news: Round 1 v the French Bulldogs is on minus the crowd. Just received a message from the club.

Can they let the cheer squads in at least? Get them tested, a few dozen each side.
