I bags the role of drunken uncle saying inappropriate things.

Was I naughty or nice?
I have no idea.
All I asked for was a boozy holidae (preferably in an aeroplane) and this what I got!
A R/C Piper cub (no engine or servos) and a six pack of some hispster* cidery-beer, or is it beery cider.
Either wae it tasted terrible!
*(whom ever they may or maynot be)

The Missus, on the other hand must have been good.
See got a beautiful summer dress (picked out by her bloke, some CD's and a Lima train-set.
The train is cool.
My 9 year-old nephew (I hadn't seen him 6 years) is up visiting so we put together a small circle and powered it up.
He'd never seen one before and was enthrawled!!!
He's coming back over tomorrow and we going to set it all up (we have others, stations, bridges, trax etc) and play trains.
He wanted to come over after breakfast (around 7.30) but a bit of gentle (be kind to uncle) we decide 10-10.30 is a better idea.

I hope you are all having a good Christmas, I am.

That chair was already reserved for you. I guess Tannin is dad, TP mother, always telling long-term student son David to get a job. Morrigu is the sensible daughter except she's a bit potty about animals and has sixteen pets. Jezza is the dutiful son. The Royle family has nothing on it.

I couldn't work that one out. PtID is the voluble son-in-law who married the radical feminist daughter, along the lines of the Tony Booth character in til Death Us Do Part. He's probably expressing his outrage at our violence against the turkey and the exploitation of innocent cranberries by the military industrial complex. Wokko is the other son-in-law, married to the daughter who became a leading light in roller derby.

i can't place WPT, but that seems ok because he's Jewish and it's Christmas dinner, so he's not invited.

Morrigu is the crazy cat lady Aunt who joins in with mum berating the son about getting a job and telling grandpa to shut up.

WPT is the old family friend who always shows up bearing a platter of something lebanese, deliberately wears a yamuka for the only day of the year and pulls a chair up to the table and hoes into the tucker.

3 is the 2nd cousin who rocks up in the ute with the dog and forgets to take his muddy boots off at the front door making mum chase him round the house with the mop.

I deny none of that (except the bit about muddy boots, it hasn't rained here in months).

Personally I regard myself as the indulgent uncle with the Peter Pan complex the cool toys.
All the fun and none of the Responsibility.

I'm the long lost drifter cousin that drops in unannounced once in a while, eats all the best of the food without touching the salads and drinks all your piss, then sails back off into the sunset until "next time"...... Laughing

I kid you not, this is what I got for Christmas!!!! Very Happy Very Happy
