Suns took Fiorini off the table once they cleared out their other two mids. That decision was made for us.

Players are reluctant to air what goes on between players but I’d bet there be a few who were aware of Henry wanting out a while back

It is possible 25 and Mitchell sealed the deal

But 25 and Fiorini may not have been enough.

Hence why Wright may have alluded to Mitchell changing the picture. It cleared the path for a decision.

I think when Mitchell became available, we didn't persevere with Fiorini because we got our onballer.

Most Likely we rated Mitchell Higher then Fironi who probably a Back up Plan IF we could not get Mitchell

Wright likes to use the word ‘prespective’ a lot, I don’t think he knows what it means Smile

I’ve rated Mitchell for years.
I went and watched a reserves game on holidays in Canberra with a mate and he had it on a string. I thought he must have had 40+ touches, kicked a handful in a clear BOG performance against I can’t remember who (Eastlakes?) . I was actually very surprised when I later read he had 60+ touches and couldn’t get a game in the ones ffs.
A fantastic get for us.

^ Welcome back, Flash.

If Mitchell can help us with centre clearances, I'll be very happy with him.

I expect most of next year Fiorini will be playing out the final year of his contract in the VFL. Graham Wright himself said Collingwood lost interest in Fiorini and who could blame him when a player like Tom Mitchell is put up for trade (although we’ll never know the whole truth here).

Pies didnt seam to miss out this time.

We had players in mind and got them not like in past years of missing out.

Good targets as well and we got our men.

Only wish we got Tim Taranto as he was bannied around by Collingwood early in the piece.

Fiorini or Tich

Absolutely no contest—Tich has proven to the comp his ability

Now we will love him to show his stuff with us

...

Yes. And I'm guessing the coach won't be going "we drafted who?" like in previous years.
