Hardly sounds like its the Club who is pushing him out the door... |
Wright has been widely reported as saying he wanted Grundy’s salary off the books and it had to happen this year. His comments are completely consistent with that. The only “suspicion” is about where Grundy will end up, not that he’s going - and even that is feigned, because we’ve known for a month that Melbourne wants him. |

How does Hill deserve a 2 rounder?
Port got 2rd pick for Amon. |

Excellent !
Now demand their pick 7 and we will give them Henry and a little something extra in return.
There’s a Falcon and a Rebel ( western Vic ) in the top eight picks anyway, so they won’t need pick 7. The Cats will just poach them both back to the club in two years time. |
We give them NOTHING extra in return, if it in fact happens. _________________ Jatsad - That is all |

They’re probably banking on Hill kicking a goal a game and his pressure not letting the ball out of our forward line as a better net gain than someone who kicks two goals a game but gives up two the other way because they don’t chase or have any second effort. |

Yeah I don't get it either, I assume it's because our 2nd pick will be late 30's again?? Although, he does bring speed and a decent leap in our fwd line.
Pies obviously want and rate him. |

I've seen a bit of GWS, perhaps more than I would have liked, and I can assure you that if this kid gets his body right he can be a star, x-factor and nous to go with off- the -spot speed to make your eyes water.
Body is a concern though, nut issues notwithstanding, only slightly bigger than Dick _________________ "You hate a mean man, a grasping man, a man who wants everything and gives nothing. That’s Collingwood. They are a law unto themselves"

Tend to agree. Imagine if he could be 80% as good as Shai Bolton! Obviously needs to deliver but I can see the potential. _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |

Keep in mind, if we do secure GWS third rounder at around # 40 odd and we kept it ( which may not happen ) that pick will possibly come in between 4 - 6 spots on the night due of the thousands of points ( around 3,500 ) the Lions will need for Ashcroft and Fletcher as F / S selections. That would make eventually make that pick closer to a very late second rounder on the night ( which is what we anticipate we are giving up with out future second rounder )
The Lions need to trade for Dunkley and the McStay compensation could likely be less than they would hope, based on Amons compensation value.
The Lions have some very creative juggling to do this trade period and that may yet include the Bowes / pick 7 offer. |
