My claim is: being small need not be a problem if the small guy is athletic.

I don't have quotas in mind about how many players should be a certain height. Speak to Rudey about that, not me.

Liam Ryan would be a welcome addition to the team.

The OP also suggested that the "Dwarves" were those under 180cm.

We only have 4 players under 180cm on our list.

Elliot, C. Brown, Thomas and Daicos, all @ 178cm (5'10" in the old)

The counter claim of athleticism came from you

Geelong who was mentioned above by the OP, have 3 players under 180 on their list and 2 of them played this round

Richmonds team that belted us on Friday had a number of players under 180cm.

Stack 179
Prestia 175
Short 178
Rioli 179
Lambert 178
Bolton 175

Short 178 😂😂.

Don’t forget Liam Baker either.

Some of the above aren’t quick but they do enough to get games every week in a strong team.
Others are quick and don’t get a lot of the ball but also do enough to play their role well every week.
I don’t think there’s an issue being “ short “ if you can seriously play footy. How you define that is always going to differ from one person to the next.
Having said that, generally pace and skill give you a very solid head start.

The only thing Elliot lacks is a durable body and a Gimli beard to go with his Dwarf status. Wink

Just be patient and Sneezy will appear on our injury and illness list.
