That’s how good Grundy is. |
As much as i wanted to give Sidey 5 votes i just had to give it to Grundy. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

You can't win a flag without a dominant big guy
Monkey and Jolly are just 2 examples.
Go Grundy. |

Apparently Grundy has become just the 2nd Ruckman in the history of the game to have 40+ hitouts, 30+ disposals and a goal in a game. The other was Gary Dempsey in 1980 _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

He's excellent at present. Has been advanced his whole career for a big guy. He is like another midfielder with respect to his clearance work and his kicking for goal is amongst the best at the club. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Ole mate I gave Sidey BOG just as he kept Sloane to 16 ordinary touches but it could have gone either way
Grundy also had 12 clearances 23 contested touches 12 hit outs to advantage and 8 tackles unseen stats for a big man
I'll bet right now we are happy we signed him for the next 3 seasons his next deal will be worth around a million plus a season at this rate |

He has this little trick of dropping he drops to his knees in the middle when the contest is on and delivering the ball right into the guts of one of our mid-fielders and currently, his target is Sidey. I wonder if this is a play they\have developed between them at training? |

If you added in his clearances, i'm pretty sure it was statistically the greatest ever game by a ruckman. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Gee, I think I'd still have Pendles up there.

The Coach was a huge wrap for Grundy on SEN this morning. He said, amongst a number of compliments, that they’ve actually thought about rucking Cox and playing Grundy as their big-bodied mid but, because of Grundy’s follow up after the ruck contest, they haven’t needed to. |

I'd like to see that given a whirl though.

I actually suggested that last year.
This year, Grundy averages 37 hit outs per game which is very good. He wins 55.7% of hitout contests, but only hits an average of 11.7 per game (31.5%)
Max Gawn seems to be the benchmark for hitouts, averaging 47 hitouts @ 35% to advantage
Rory Lobb is the most accurate by hand, averaging 36.8% hitouts to advantage. Grundy is 8th. To be fair, Grundy's career average is 28%, so he's improving, but he needs to.
