I struggle to see how Collingwood will be competitive going forward - Moore is the only KPP we've invested a serious draft pick in for a decade and it is starting to show. Cloke, Reid and Brown are all nearing the end and we have nobody on the list of their size and talent to take over. Unless the game can somehow be dominated by a game plan built around slow half-back flankers and an average midfield, we are in very serious trouble. |
Not sure if serious? White has been our best forward all year and can play around the ground? Are you drunk? _________________ There is Collingwood and then the rest. |

He's certainly a player capable of having the same impact in any position on the ground. We can agree on that much. |

White is incredibly agile for a big bloke and has had a pretty good season. He is best played up the ground on a wing imo, and should be retained.
As for Cloke, I still think his best footy is behind him, and while he is still capable of playing some good games, now is the time to trade him, allowing us to build our future forward line around Cox, Moore, Fasolo, Elliott, Crocker and possibly Josh Daicos.
Reid is just coming into his prime, and should be there for another 5 years. Hopefully we can recruit his younger brother as well, and use him alongside Cox and Moore. |

He's already 27. Don't misunderstand me - I don't think any of them is finished - far from it - rather, I'm commenting on the apparent lack of players capable of replacing them for the purpose of building a next top 4 team. If we're 3 years away, what can we expect them to be able to contribute at that time? |

Clearly time for Tooves, The Caff, maybe the Sack and Goodyear
then Witts for the right price,
Swanny up to him
Gault we have tried and tried hard but no it is time
Do we have to promote Cox or can he stay as a Rookie for another year, Smith should be able to stay as a Rookie for another year
Famous last words but might be a quiet year just try and get a healthy small forward Swan, Elliot, Fas and Broomy
plus a fit half backline _________________ Bucks you just reckon he can still cut it in the middle |

I'd go after tall forwards and tall backs. No more midfielders. _________________ Bob Rose....the measuring stick of humanity |

Rookie list Hartley, again. He's done well as a top up player at Essendon.
Get Daics and Brown jrs in the draft and beg. borrow, steal or whatever else it takes to get a young KP forward.
FWIW, I'd keep White. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Presti35, I reckon you've almost nailed it in one go. I wouldn't be shocked if Tooves retires. Caff may also retire, or just remain on the VFL list. Swanny will depend on the medicos. I dare say Witts is gone - if they can find a way.
Only one I'm puzzled on is Blair. Would he be guaranteed a spot elsewhere? He's had some really good games but plenty of quiet ones and he's not your Eddie Betts style crumber. I think he'll sit tight knowing he's on a good thing.
I haven't seen anything of Sier or enough of Goodyear to comment on them. Josh Smith has to be back.
Could Frost be in any trouble? Skills seem to have gone backwards. Seems to have become a depth player. Weird, I thought he was going to lead our backline! _________________ Side By Side Forever |
