Oops! I meant the Xander cage ones!

So I watched Last Blood last night! Well it was better than the recent Bruce Willis effort, not keen on the story line, a bit off, but gees he came up with new and inventive ways to kill people! Lots of people! Mexico gunna wish they built that wall! And old, wrinkled, and beaten up there is still something weirdly sexy about Stallone! At the end they play stills from all 4 movies, and then he rides into the sunset!

Gives some insight into PTSD after war, if a little extreme! The sets are fricken amazing!

I didn't really like Last Blood, I couldn't deal with the story although the final fight scene in the tunnels was a work of art

Sin City, which is Pulp Fiction on acid. Just the use of color pops it, and a young Jessica Alba.........

speaking of the Stones in another thread, i just watched a movie with ties to them, Ralph Fiennes collaborated with a couple of them when he made "A bigger splash". the Stones parts was the only good bit! Fiennes is Charlize Theron as Wuornos in monster in this!! but the acting is not on par with Charlize!! Hey, i picked it up for $4, wanted something i hadnt see to watch in the bath, man long bath! i have this weird thing where i just cant switch a movie off no matter how bad it is!! and i really wanted to see the ending! Dakota Johnson is in it so i should have known it was soft porn! this was a David movie if ever there was one! everyone $%$ed everyone else, and no crimes were punished!

Oh, I haven’t seen that one! But I like the director, Luca Guadagnino (he also made I Am Love and Call Me by Your Name, both of which were very good, and also the remake of Suspiria, which is very ... odd).

I have to admit I skipped it when it came out because of the bad reviews! Tilda Swinton is incredible, though, and I would watch nearly anything she is in (you might recognise her as the Witch in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe).

I haven’t actually seen that one!

I know she like to get naked! I can’t remember what else she was in but she was naked a lot! I like her lover in the movie, he was cute and his story was interesting. Tilda was very good in it, she had input into the part. It was an interesting story, just a little long. If I’d had wine it might have been better! If you have seen his other movies I suggest you watch it. It’s $4 at big w or stream it. I find streams don’t always have subtitles so I tend to buy. Cheers

Thanks Jo, might check it out! And yes, she does get naked a lot. Check out the film Young Adam sometime; you get her and Ewan McGregor for the price of one! Laughing

If you like David Byrne and the music of Talking Heads then you’ll like the Spike Lee film “David Byrne’s American Utopia”

Great stuff, would have loved to have been at that concert in New York

Nice to go out and be back in the cinema.
