Very curious to see what the local "mercy" lobby (i.e. Tony Abbott, the News Limited tabloids and everyone else who suddenly discovered a profound personal aversion to the death penalty in the last couple of months) make of that. I'm expecting a deafening silence. |

He isn't Australian.
Not certain he's American even.
Either way it's up to politicians and citizens opposed to the death penalty from his country of birth/citizenship to voice there concerns not us.
Just because people are opposed to the death penalty doesn't mean they will and should voice there disapproval every time a foreigner is sentenced to death.
Most people don't have the energy for that and nor do the masses in listening to it. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Quite right, but politicians are asked about far more trivial things. If the question does come up, it will be interesting to hear what the response is. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

There are no votes in fighting the good fight for a convicted terrorist that isn't an Australian citizen.
It will be interesting to see & hear the response when the inevitable terrorist attack occurs here. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |
