I wouldn't mind him playing the last year of his contract as an development coach/player in the twos, so he could give the kids some onfield direction, like Goldsack did at Port Adelaide in 2020.

Moore’s elevation to the leadership group comes as he enters the last year of his contract and Pendlebury wants the star key position player to stay at the club.

I’ll carry the can for the ancient dinosaur views of some of the oldies here. Collingwood should say stay if you are passionate about wanting to play for us, or nick off and we’ll get a real gun in exchange. Stuff niceties and begging for a guy who’s father played for us and then ran away to Melbourne. If it’s a case of like father like son, it is highly unlikely that we’d be able to sway him to stay when his father didn’t 🥺 So time to get on the front foot and deal with the situation rationally and logically instead of being unrealistic about what is likely to transpire. Harsh but I for one will respect the club for not being pantz and danced by someone who beats to a different drum, like we did with Grundy. Enough is enough of these silly high bidding shenanigans that can only harm the club. Lets learn from mistakes.
