But what is the answer?

We must address our three issues: Back up ruck. Pacey defender. Key Forward.

D. Cameron = Back up ruck. (Easy trade)
Tomlinson = Pacey defender. (Free agent)

But who fills the key forward spot? With a tight cap and no first round pick to trade, it's a tough task. And who else is available?

If its true that its a cheap trade and the Crows will take a part of his wage, then we might have no other option. He can fill the spot for a season if we are to focus on J. Cameron in next years free agency.

Pro: Gives us an extra option at FF. Wage is low. Can mark. Can goal. Frees up Mihocek.

Con: He is already 30. Its worrying that he only played 11 games in 2019.

If he can repeat what he did in 2018, then it's well worth it. But the other side of that risk is that we revisit the Q-Stick scenario.

I just dont see what other option we have if we want to re-sign our stars and fill the other voids on the list. It's not like Ben Brown is available or anything.

Don't put too much stock into him only playing 11 games in 2019. The fact that there's a mass exodus at Adelaide should indicate it's not a happy place to be.

Thats true SW.

Looking at his 2018 stats is promising. He didnt start at AFL level until he was 23, so maybe there's a few more miles left than most 30 year olds.

So now it seems that at least 4 clubs are after Jamie Elliott including Brisbane Lions. I don't blame them. He's a star and provided he can stay fit, would be a great asset to any side. Unfortunately it looks as if that side won't be our's. I hope I'm wrong.

This free agency regime sucks. How can Richmond get a 1st round pick for Brandon Ellis, while we only get a 3rd round pick for Jamie Elliott. I know who I'd rather have.

I think it was inferred that something physical happened between him and Don Pyke at training mid year. Lots of denial stories.

If anyone has doubts about whether we need Jenkins, just look at the fact that Mihocek won the Gordon Coventry with 36 goals... Nuff said.
