Great win, what’s even better, we still have much more improvement to be had.

I thought we had a few unlucky calls resulting in Melbourne goals and stealing our momentum. Ultimately the scoreboard flattered Melbourne.
We need to be careful not to get too carried away ... for all the hype, it was only Melbourne.
I think we have a bit of work to do in defence. For some teams we are going to need a second key defender besides Dunn ... could be Reid or maybe Mihocek. |
Melbourne have one of the best mids in the comp based on recent stats, and we just smashed em in the middle. _________________ Collingwood forever, forever Collingwood |

6th time a player's had a 5 goal haul this year. Zero last year.
Best thing is that we've had 5 different players kick 5. Multiple options up forward. Cox, WHE, Thomas and Stephenson all kicking multiples today. Stephenson also did very well to reduce Jetta's effectiveness. _________________ Well done boys! |

Bloody good win. Great 4 qtr effort and the best we have looked for a long time. Very impressive. The bye will be good but also a shame as we have great confidence and momentum. Congrats to the boys. _________________ carn the mighty pies! |

Just enjoy the win mate, we can only play what's put in front of us.
Couldn't watch the game as it wasn't a holiday in QLD, but I am sure it was a great spectacle. _________________ Pies Forever |

What was noticeable about this game is how our players are now scaring the opposition and forcing them to assign blanketing roles to certain members of their team, who are then unavailable to give them their usual contribution. Case in point today was Tom Phillips. He was nullified to some extent by the Melbourne tagger assigned to him (Brayshaw), but then Brayshaw was unable to play with any aggression as his role was defensive.
I am so rapt with Mason Cox. Without wanting to sound hysterical, I believe that he has some kind of footballing genius, which probably comes somehow from his basketball. The way he gets into position and taps/palms the ball on is nothing short of magic. He also clunked some brilliant marks tonight, and this is what we have all been waiting for.
What also amazed me tonight was his brilliant play at ground level!! Who would have imagined that a guy with his height could play such a dangerous role here??
I am just stoked with this wonderful team victory. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Yes (as do we). It was good to see our midfield dominate ... should happen more often.
We have given up more points against than other teams (excluding Melbourne now) in the top 8. We have a fair bit of work to do on defence still. _________________ All We Can Be |

Could have easily won by 100, given the absolute sitters we muffed; exciting times.
De Goey is a beast BTW, he dominated the centre in the third, Dusty-like _________________ "The last thing he expected WAS THE FIRST THING HE GOT!!!!!"

I think it's about time we put this QB clash to bed.
Either we get a Home game every 2yrs or piss it off!

I was jealous of Petracca at Melbourne. A line breaking mid who can also play full forward and kick goals.
Right now though, we look to have the better mid from that draft in JDG. His power in the midfield is what propelled us forward. Then others came into it later. _________________ Well done boys! |

Very happy that every time they got on a roll... Mainly because of bad umpiring ie Adams giving away that free for tripping we went even harder and got the game back on our terms... Good sign of a great finals team. Good times ahead! Go Pies! _________________ Go Pies! |
