Who gives a ..... is my first thought.
I saw enough today. I might give the last 2 games a miss. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

We've won 1 out of 9 and the suggestion is that we should now respond. FFS. |
We have not been Humiliated in those 8 Losses. 1st Time we had our Asses handed to us.
Might give the Players the Kick up the Ass they Needed |
I would have thought after the 4th loss in a row we may have looked for a big response while the season was on line. Play like there was no tomorrow. I thought the dogs game was the "line in the sand" game.
So if they can't do it then, why next week?
Let's face it. They're cooked and don't have the grit to fight for pride.
I'd suggest that we'll miss finals again in 2016. Because we actually need to show we can play out a whole season before we can even contemplate making finals. Hell, Bux even admitted today's presser they can't even play out 4 quarters yet. Wtf!?
My preseason prediction that we were possibly bottom 6 side is coming true. We are 12th. That is worse than last year. Our trend is still south. We cant be sure of witnessing the bottom of the pendulum yet. |

A win would be nice.
If we have any pride in performance then it should be close.

And there is the scary part, if you look at our list profile we are 5 years away from a real tilt with what we would consider our new breed of talent, and thats providing a few seasoned players can hang around and we can top up with some outside talent, and all this is because the powers that be decided that because Geelong found a way around us in 2011 it was all done and dusted, a new direction was needed and what so many had learned to do was now obsolete, these same powers that told us a flag within three, finals this year.....yada yada, now 17-18.....why are we still listening to them? in all honesty they have shown themselves to have NFI....
Hawks couldn't beat geelong either, funny they didn't decide for new direction though, just some top up and some modification because unlike the morons in control at our club they know that a list cull means 10 years backwards, our list profile was younger, our better players were younger yet we opted for a whole new direction (that has, mind you... failed miserably)
So we began to skin the list, Bux had a direction...problem is not all see it, thats ok - thats not an issue...how you deal with it is. How do we go about it? we put away the skinning knife and got out the boning knife, my way or the highway...geez that worked out well didn't it? very poor man management, i'm not quite sure if this was mistake one or mistake two, because mistake one might well be what we are seeing now, the direction in general and this may have infact born out what could actually be mistake two, an inability to relate to the players and an inabilty to assess one's own mistakes and deal with them in an effectual manner.
What does all of the above mean? It means we have put ourselves in a poor position and are now being asked to have some patience, problem is...those asking for patience are those that made the mistakes that put us here.
Our dilemma as supporters is not unlike those of the players...how do you buy into what you don't believe, Bux said it himself, when your effort's go unrewarded you lose faith.
I quite simply do not believe Bux knows the way to the promised land. |

So out of all the players who have moved on, which ones do you reverse in order to create this mythical dynasty?
If you take Heater back you lose Adams.
If you take Beams back you lose De Goey, Crisp and Greenwood
If you take Harry back you lose Varcoe
If you take Sharrod back you lose Grundy
If you take Daisy back you lose Sharenberg |

If you take back Daisy you lose Freeman - but your point is still accurate.
I still think it's a shame the Club let Heater go but I understand why they felt it had to be done. With the rest, we made hay while the sun shone. Imagine trying to move those other guys on for decent picks based on what they've done since they left. |

This is our chance for some sort of payback to the pussies for 2011 and at least deny them a chance to play finals _________________ You are only as old as the person you feel |

Yeah we definately made the right call on those guys, but in reality most of those calls weren't ours to make, it was only Heater we could've held onto if we wanted to, Daisy as well I suppose but we were never going to match Carltons offer considering he barely got on the park for the previous 2 seasons. _________________ Defender...........

The "dynasty" left at the end of 2011 was to be built on the starting 22 continuing and which of the following other 2011 listed players:
Ugle
Stubbs
Beams
Simon Buckley
Ceglar
Brad Dick
Daniel Farmer
Luke Rounds
Lachie Keeffe
John McCarthy
Paul Seedsman
Ben Sinclair
Josh Thomas
Cameron Wood
Macaffer
Nathan Brown
Goldsack
Tom Young
?????
A large part of the problem in 2011 was that there was little depth. Some of the guys on the list above (eg Nathan Brown) would have been starting 22 players, if they weren't injured but the fresh "talent pool" was more like a dried up waterhole, really. |

We get Brown back who stabilises our backline and provides mentoring for Maynard and Marsh who were all at sea yesterday.
We get three umpires who aren't totally corrupted and biased.
We get to play a side that isn't travelling well at the moment.
We are hopefully spurred on by the pathetic performance the players put up against Richmond.
Yes, we can beat Geelong. |

Given the right environment best football to date of every player listed.
Heater >>>>>>>>Adams
Beams>> any of them
Varcoe >Harry
Wellingham>>>Grundy
Daisey>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shazza
If you want to maybe be a power in 2020 you don't take back any trade.
If you wanted to be a power from 2011 though now you wouldn't do any of them.
The right environment, the powers that be created a toxic one, we have what we have and I do not trust them not to f@k it up again.
Btw, it wasn't mythical, it was there it won in 2010 it almost won in 2012.
