Just heard from a cop tht the drug testing will be in Tas within a month and yes he admitted its all about REVENUE....

Assassin i agree with u 100%.....

I think it doesnt matter wat kind of reading u give , if THC shows up then ur busted...

Cop seemed to think that no THC would show up after 2 days of having a choof (tht doesnt help me much tho Razz )

Assassin, perhaps you should do a little bit of research and find out.

But can you use it in public? Like you can with tobacco and alcohol?
Answer is a simple No. So the term "de-crimilised" is misleading if not an outright lie.

Yeh it's like if you got fingerprinted if your house got broken into, as if they would destroy your prints. more like keep them in a 'secret' file or something. same with DNA.

Drug testing is bullshit. Speaking from experience, I work in a job that requires random drug testing, I have tested positive three weeks after having a choof. 3 weeks? Like that was affecting my work.
From memory, drug testing for thc is done in nanograms, whereas other drugs are tested in micrograms. Speed and most other chemicals goes out of your system after 3 days. THC can stay in for 4 weeks. I was even told by a boss to have speed instead as it clears quicker from my system.
I fully agree that if you've been smoking, you shouldnt be driving, but how in the hell can you accurately measure the levels? Its impossible. This is a revenue raiser, pure and simple.

Laughing HAHA ... It might turn out to be a REVENUE LOSER when all those people unfairly booked by faulty testing start suing the pants off the government.

They really need to get this right before they start ruining people's lives with it.

Good luck to john who was the 1st to be "caught" by the 'mobile bong bus', perhaps the cops were all choofing inside the 'mobile bong bus' which gave an "inaccurate" reading.

Police drug testing 'fiasco' grows
December 22, 2004 - 5:38PM

Victoria's world first roadside drug-testing system was in a shambles today after police revealed two of the first three drivers to test positive had been cleared after laboratory analysis of their samples.

Victoria Police released the results of the laboratory tests following demands for an apology and threats of legal action from van driver John De Jong, who tested positive for drugs at a highly-publicised launch of the system last week.
