Agree MTTM. Plus, I think his attack on the game does something wonderfully positive for us. |
Pretty much in awe of how good Murray has been. He's not only prepared to take the game on, he's tough and makes surprisingly few shocking mistakes given his lack of experience and high risk play.
Forget being worth a downgraded 2nd round pick, he was worth a first rounder on current performances. _________________ Well done boys! |

Simply magnificent and to all the posters bagging the club and coaches as recently as Round 1, you have no idea. We play finals again this year and anything is possible. Fantastic!
I DVRed the game and got up at 6.40am to watch it live. Made my Friday!
Sensational effort. That desperation to play on and will the ball forward was inspiring in the first quarter. For the first time in years, we looked like winners early.
Aside from the big contributors tonight, I really liked what I saw from Cox and Varcoe. Really encouraging. And a solid return from de Goey.
Really glad about this win. Bucks talked all last year about the erosion of confidence when you're not rewarded for your effort. This year, that surely applies to him. I think he's been a good coach in a tough situation, and it's particularly sweet to see him rewarded for a great performance. |

... did the young one kick it off his non-preferred foot? ... |
Yes, he did. Perhaps he should have tried that previously instead of the right-foot banana. |
Are you seriously having a dig at the young man for kicking 5-1?
but thank you for answering my question. |
Actually, I'm probably highly biased towards him, partly because I like his quirky character.
Re. the kick, I'm pretty sure mine is the unpopular suggestion, in that most others will insist he should have tried the boring right-foot drop punt. But Steele often runs around and uses the left from similar positions. |
Righto. Fair enough. I think Stephenson may have copped a sting just before that kick and was trying to compensate for it by not opting for the drop punt. |

Think it was just a case of changing his mind half way through and stuffing it up. Think we can allow him one mistake for the night. _________________ Well done boys! |

Hell yes. He was an inspiration to the entire team. If you watch the replay, this mistake was like water off a duck's back to the team. They were fully cognisant of the astonishing game he played. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

We were all so upset after round one because it felt like the same sh!t movie weve all seen before. Plenty of ball, bad skills and decisions going forward. Seen it for years. I think we had a come to Jesus moment after round 1.
Failure can be handy in a sense. You can really get into the forensics of it, and if the group or individual is committed, change can be brought. But success builds confidence, and there is blood in the water folks, the boys can smell it.
Theres 4 guys who are starting 18 out atm, if we get them back in soon this season is alive and kicking. _________________ Tear the roof off tha sucker!!! |

Best thing I saw all night was a smile on this man's face. I've been as critical as the next person but I'm stoked for him tonight.

We need to keep a lid on it as we have Adelaide in Adelaide next week. No wait, that was Adelaide in Adelaide.

The decision to go with Smith instead of Scharenberg round one was a head scratcher. I mean, how can a top 6 pick who played 10 straight games to end 2017, a player of our future, be excluded for a stop gap player, and one week later the roles reversed? Why was he not in from round one? I mean, we closed to 3-4 goals in the final quarter vs Hawthorn. Include Schaz, rotate tags on Mitchell, it could have been a different story. Or at least not a case of same old same old status quo beige Collingwood.
What we've seen the past few weeks is COACHING! Strategies, ideas, rotating taggers, small ball up forward, gun mids leading from the square. Flexibility and ingenuity. Whiskas's influwnce? Who knows. _________________ Est. 2002 |

One more thing...it's been noticed and mentioned before, but Cox's 'live' taps to advantage, that is, opting to tap to advantage rather than try to mark or take possession in an aerial 50:50, can't be underestimated. It's smart, thankless, non-stat footy. _________________ Est. 2002

And when he puts the foot down everything around him slows down! It's exciting to watch as I'm not used to it! |
