Here's the "top 8" going by this article;
Jacobs is expected to be traded to GWS so they dont dilute their compo pick. Reid is expected to sign a 1 year deal.
Masten is 30, Brown is 30 and lol imagine that, Menzel didnt come on at the Swans, Puopolo is 31 and would upset the anti-Blair brigade , and who knows whats going on with Murray?
Jack Newnes is interesting though.
Age 26, Height 186cm, Position.... is he a winger? Or a defensive mid? I dunno?
https://afltables.com/afl/stats/players/J/Jack_Newnes.html
His numbers aren't bad. Played 20 games in '19. Gets a little bit of the ball, seems to love a tackle and kicks the odd goal. Its an interesting thought depending on his wage.
Maybe not for us, but you'd think he's a fit a plenty of other sides? The Saints looking to find an extra pick too. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Well we can always bring back Brown and Dale.
After all the ten year reunion is coming up. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

He's available if there's interest but comfortable retiring if there's not. |

Maybe the Suns looking for an older head?
Can he play the Greenwood role? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

What about ex-magpie (mainly reserves) player Michael Hartley from Essenscum? _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

Why? Did you particularly want us to delist him again? |

😀 yeah good one!
Maybe it’s just my opinion but I think he’d be a better lower list occupant than one or two others. He has the talent but needs apply it under a good coach system to bring it to the fore. I wouldn’t write him off yet. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. ^ He's 26 and a half. When Essendon recruited him to fill the hole created by mass suspensions, he played 37 games over two years. In the two years since, when they've had a couple of passable defenders on their list, he's played a total of 7.
We had him in our system for two seasons, had a good close look and stamped his papers. Essendon picked him up because they were desperate. They're not so desperate now and he is again apparently surplus to AFL requirements. |

Do we go for Newnes now? or would that be clutching at straws? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

List cloggers, all of the above mentioned.
Time to get ruthless and cut players who can't or haven't improved.
Lynch has been there 3 years - not much improvement. Cameron is in now so goodbye.
Crocker - enough said. He tries hard but doesn't seem up to it.
Dunn - old now and 2 knee reconstructions - keep him on as development or morale coach.
The 2 Irish lads - not from what I saw this year - stick to home grown talent - why do we constantly look outside Australia?
Appleby - tried a number of times but always found wanting.
Magden - a fill in at best and a plodder
Broomhead - been 6 years now - time's up.
Reid - an accident waiting to happen.
Greenwood - Unfortunately with the knee - that could be it.
Some will disagree with these but like I said earlier, time to get ruthless and become hated again. _________________ Jatsad - That is all |
