Trivia:
- Collingwood have won all four encounters between the two clubs since Coburg became a stand-alone club again at the end of 2013, by an average margin of 38.2 points.
- Collingwood has not lost to Coburg since Round 13 of 2012 at this very venue. Back then, the Lions were still affiliated with Richmond. Only bad kicking by the home side kept the Pies in the hunt, as Coburg led at every change before going on to win by 26 points.
Note:
- This Saturday's match is part of Vicki Cleary Tribute Day, an initiative by the Coburg Football Club (supported by the Victorian Government) to remember and pay tribute to the memories of women who have lost their lives through family and domestic violence. The day is named after Vicki Cleary, the sister of Coburg premiership player and two-time Coburg premiership coach Phil Cleary, who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend in August 1987. Entry to the match is free, but fans are strongly encouraged to donate a gold coin to tin rattlers at the gate.

I would much rather see McLarty play FF or FB rather than ruck. Where's Lynch? _________________ kill for collingwood! |

Injured. Ankle. Out for another week or two.
Think Lachie Howe will come in to ruck again this week. _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Well, this is embarrassing.
Due to circumstances more out of my control than in them, I won't be able to run the scoreboard this afternoon. Indeed, I won't be able to catch the game at all (will have to rely on the PVR).
So, given that it's a TV game, would I be able to just leave the keys on the benchtop and leave the job to a volunteer today? This mod and keen VFL watcher (indeed, the whole moderating team) would be much appreciative...
(For those outside Victoria, it has been suggested to me that a VPN or proxy service is how you would overcome Channel 7's geo-block on the website and in the app. This mod makes no guarantees as to quality or security of said VPNs or proxy services, but there you go...) _________________ I am vengeance. Very fierce early. Coburg kicking to the warm, indoor pool end. |

Hore playing like he should be on an AFL list. Still nil-all, 5 minutes gone. |

Ball up by the right hand goal post, our end. Good pressure. Downfield free. And Murphy has been badly cleaned up. Mellington looking at 12 weeks and Mihocek kicks a game-changing point. |

BTW, Blair is the hold-over emergency for tonight, so the VFL midfield is a little weakened. Daicos cleaned up, too. They need to disband Coburg if they’re going to play like this. McLarty kicks the downfield free goal, this time. |

Murphy has a broken nose and is undergoing the concussion test after that nasty hit earlier. |

Murphy is up and walking the boundary, which is good news. |
