there are a few key changes to the Collingwood side that beat StKilda by 48 points back in round 16..
While StKilda will Name a sore Nick Dal Santo who missed the round 16 clash, Collingwood won that game without 2 of its stars in Travis Cloke and the captain Nick Maxwell..
Now obviously Nick Reiwoldt was only playing his second game back from that long layoff with injury but surely we now have a stronger side again than what we won with only 8 weeks ago..
Some other key points to highlight from that match
Ben Johnson did an outstanding job on Stephen Milne, holding him to just one goal (a handball recieve from an Adam Patterson mark) expect Johnson to get the job again
Brent MacAffer played as a defensive forward on Sam Gilbert, as well as curbing his influence on the game, MacAffer kicked 3 important goals
thoughts? does this help with the confidence? _________________ THE PIES DELIVERED IN 2010 |

Forgot about Maxwell not playing.
i am sure we will be hearing a lot from Saints supporters about an underdone reiwoldt etc. but good to point out that we beat them without our captain and our CHF. |

Cloke is super important to us..
all of a suddern the opposition teams need to worry about
Dawes, Cloke and Leroy!!
alot of teams will struggle to man all 3 _________________ THE PIES DELIVERED IN 2010 |

In both our H&A wins against the Cats and Saints, the thing that sticks in my memory is our midfield dominance.
Thats where we'll win it! |

reckon the Sack could be the wild card in defence.
Everyone will talk about Ben Reid and Nathan Brown...and they will do their bit.
Throw in the Sack and our incredibly impressive skipper coming in over the top spoiling, filling the hole and we can curtail Reiwoldt.
Reckon presti has been out too long, so too big a gamble.
The Sack will be our antidote to Reiwoldt. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Not too worried about Nick R, he only kicked 1 in last year's GF. Grand Finals are usually tough for 'one man- dominant forward' teams, they're rarely match winners. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

i had a look at the stats and the inside 50 count of 43 to us and 38 to them is slightly worrying. against the cats we monstered them in inside 50. |

That game was our first big test against the top teams after starting our charge. We are already twice as good now. The I50 count evened up in the last quarter when we took our foot off the pedal. Don't let that worry you. Ben Johnson on Tiprat must happen again. The rodent always gives Harry the slip. BJ destroyed him, his only goal a cheating handball receive from a teammate's mark 15m out. Schneider is the real worry. Always gives us the slip, and if not for bad kicking, could have 4 or 5 against us. Riewoldt only kicked one goal in the Grand Final due to the wet conditions. The forecast is for 'a shower or two', so hopefully it's slippery early on. Jolly must be mindful of Gardner. He gets forward a lot under the guard. Pies by 35 on Saturday. _________________ Est. 2002 |
