ED, I was very happy to see you guys get the rights to the footy but as an interstate supporter i am pissed off that the first two collingwood games of the pre season cup will be on foxtel. I hope for nine's sake that this doesn't become habit forming because I for one can't afford foxtel. Neither can th evast majority of the black and white army, who know, the ones who turn up in droves even when we're sixteenth and make or crowd figures look good. Unlike the corporate sponsors who will jump on any bandwagon if it starts winning. To me, Collingwood is in my blood.to the corporates, Collingwood is in the marketing plan.
Fair enough that you will show the interstate sides into their own home state, but if the big victorian clubs are going to be used as bait to get foxtel subscriptions up then your gunna have a problem.
There may have been a lot wrong with seven's coverage, but at least i got to see my team play most weekends, not just when we commanded the greatest market share!
Hopefully I am misguided and I will appear foolish at year's end, hopefully.
