In South Africas final squad of 15 they are required to have 5 "coloured" players. Personally i think that it totally wrong and the best 15 players should be picked irrespective of "colour".

Ntini is a quality player. Patterson is counted and he is average at best...lol I think Gibbs may be counted as a coloured player ??

Whatever the case i dont think you can carry players in squad of 15. Plus how would you feel if you thought you were good enough to make squad then miss out because of colour Wouldnt do much for team morale ??

It is racism.

I disagree with how 'coloured' people have been treated in the past, but it has now turned into racism against white people. You should be selected on ability NOT colour!
It is racism against those people who are in the best 15 players for South Africa but have been left out because the are not 'coloured'.

Jeez, those whiteys are doing well, aren't they? They outnumber the coloureds 2 to 1 in the S.A. World Cup squad and yet there are only 5 million of them in a country with a population of 39.36 million!

Everytime should just pick their best 15 players.

India had the same problem as Azzaharudin was a different religion to all the others. I think he was the only one who wasnt a Hindu ?? It was something like that anyway

Qasim Ohmar for Pakistan had a similar problem. He was the only Christian amongst a team of Muslims. He had no problem taking dirty money, though. Lol.

Don't quote me on the above. I just checked the net and couldn't find him in the Pakistan players section. Actually, there's no players under O at all!! Still looking.
