Collingwood has named its final 22 for Sunday's clash with Richmond at the MCG.

Emerging key forward Ben Reid, who played three games in his debut season last year and had an extremely impressive pre-season, has been recalled, as has versatile midfielder/defender Alan Toovey, who also debuted in 2007 and was best-on-ground for Collingwood's VFL team last week.

Tyson Goldsack will miss a week after suffering concussion in Brisbane in round two, while Chris Egan has been omitted.

John Anthony, Danny Stanley and Ryan Lonie are the three emergencies.

Collingwood is also delighted to support a special ‘Blue Sunday’ promotion at this week’s game.

‘Blue Sunday’ has been created to promote awareness of prostate cancer and to encourage men to visit their doctor and undertake a blood test. CLICK HERE for more information.

haha what'd i say in the other thread when i asked about his kicking! Clearly someone at in the Collingwood hierarchy is listening. hehe Wink

Fantastic news for JA...sorry to hear about Reid though, because he is clearly a kid who needs as much exposure at the senior level as he can get. Talent is obvious, but has a few jitters.

But back to JA, can't wait to see him out there. Looked so composed in that dubai game, you'd think he'd been there for years.

will jack is in. as his dad has said previously.

i reckon his dad would know if jack was in or not.

reid has not come up due to injury, which also explains why he left the training track early on thursday

Congrats to the kid JAJH. I hope he plays a great first game in a winning team. Enjoy the day yourself and thanks for the news.

Possibly the most anticipated debut ever for me.

Committment, dedication and plain old fashioned hard work are the hallmarks of this young kid and he will be a key component in Collingwood's finals campaigns for many seasons to come.

The journey began the day Jack walked into Lexus, this is but one huge step.

Have a great one Jack and remember to enjoy the moment.

Great news for young Jack, but I noticed that Lonie did not play at Willi today. Does that suggest someone else is not playing?

All the named interchange and emergencies did not play today except Danny Stanley and he was in the best today too.

Cam Wood. Fit
Ryan Lonie. Fit
Alan Toovey. Fit
Jack Anthony. Fit
Ben Johnson. Fit
Ben Reid. Hip - OUT

Anthony, Stanley and Lonie were the 3 listed emergencies. Of those, you are right that only Stanley played, but apparently Anthony is replacing Reid tomorrow. That only leaves Lonie. I'm just hoping that Travis has not pulled out with his ankle injury.
