Well he’ll be sharing a cell with a man named Ben Dover Wink

Apparently this was known ages ago but AFL ordered everyone to sit on it until now, when it’ll get buried under election news. And here we are, hardly a peep about one of the biggest scandals in AFL history.

Long articles, multiple authors, incl. a crime journo, updates, huge mugshot of Pell, etc., etc., ...

Maybe you should watch Ch 9 instead of 7? Question

Miyagi san, I'm curious 'bout what was on the AFL website. Sadly, it's hard to see. Everything there is flooded by AFLW stuff. They want to merge it all to promote AFLW but then you can't see anything else. And it's even harder to see old stories.

OTOH this bit's believable. AFL HQ do play games like that... e.g. the Daniel Rioli/Shai Bolton nightclub scandal. AFL HQ just fined Richmond $20k and let it all slide.

Channel 9 (Footy Classified) reported that there was security video. It was clear and damning, said 9. (Damning of Bolton, maybe not Rioli.) AFL HQ just wanted the bad publicity to go away. The $20k club fine is their goto move when they want to hush things up.

Of course, media at the time all asked how Bolton had broken his wrist. Many of them reckon he must've done it punching the other guy. Richmond never gave an explanation. Wish the video had been leaked. Then we could all see for ourselves.

So the thug Bolton was really lucky not to be suspended for the rest of the season.
