Some positional changes around the ground is imperative for us to improve. Moore around the ground is a no brainer. Crispy the ball butcher in the middle, not so sure, maybe as a recipient of good ball receive and Adams, only god knows. _________________ no second chances |

how anyone takes this idiot seriously is beyond me.
Supposed to know footy and suggests an AA defender coming off a PCL should play in the ruck ?
Our best stoppage player should be taken out of stoppages and put in the forward line ? _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"

If McRae wants to coach Collingwood to a wooden spoon he should listen to everything Rendell says. For starters the game where Mihocek was suspended Harvey played a 5 gamer kid who’s a medium forward at CHF. Is this the team that Rendell thinks is going to make a quick rebound? Secondly McRae has made it perfectly clear that he intends to keep Moore as a key defender. Has Rendell have any idea who he intends to put down in defense? Crisp is best rebounding half back that we have. What’s the difference between Adams butchering the ball in the centre of the ground to butchering the ball on the half forward line? Pendles when he’s not injured is a pure midfielder, end of story. I could go on and on. The article is pure rubbish. |

Taylor Adams is All Australian and Copeland trophy winner
How anyone can accomplish these feats while butchering the ball is beyond common sense.
His disposal isn't in the top 10%, but the threads about being a butcher is a joke.
Same for Crisp who has gifted us some real head scratches on occasion. Likely our best player this year.
In addendum : In case one wishes to propose that other aspects of their game is so superior that they mask the kicking. That's bullshit too.
They aren't elite kicks, but 'butchers' has grown legs on the internet, it has a life of its own.. time to put it out. |

Yep this. This notion of butchering the ball is a nonsensical justification for getting rid of a player a poster doesn’t like. And the amount of butchering is always exaggerated. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Adams came back to quickly from the knee injury, just as Rowell did.
He should be applauded for wanting to play, rather than criticised for playing when he was no where near 100%.
Let’s be honest, his ball use was worse than the norm in the back half of 2021 but I’m convinced the knee remains a reason rather than an excuse.
Having said that, there is some serious skill and creativity thats quickly developing in our midfield, so he needs to get back to his best or he will be passed by within a couple seasons. |

^^^ Indeed, and the addition of Lipinski - if played in his natural inside mid position could accelerate that. Lipinski has very good disposal out of the contest.
Adams, regardless of opinions on here though, is extremely well regarded across all areas of AFL - within the club, the playing group and by his peers. As has been said, if you had to have one player in the trenches beside you, he'd be the pick.
While he has committed some howlers, they tend to be predominantly when he elects to change direction into the corridor. When moving the ball forward, he's pretty good. This would tend to indicate to me that his peripheral vision on the field is lacking as his cross kicks get cut off.
Taking this element away from his game and concentrating on what he does well, he's a champion. |

Taylor Adams can still be an elite midfielder he just has to recognise that he’s a horrible kick and adjust his game around that.
He needs to model his game on a Greg Williams / Tom Mitchell type role where 80% of his disposals are handballs. He’s a natural ball winner in the contest, so win it and hand ball it out to the better ball users on the outside. If Tay Adams can average 25 handballs and 6-7 kicks a game, then the footy will spend a lot more time in our forward half than back half. |

All good in theory, but the problem is, footballers like to kick. It’s ‘cool’ to be a great kick. Footballers have egos. It’s not ‘cool’ to base a career on handballing.
He wants to pick off kicks through the middle because it’s ‘sexy’ when you hit one.
His kicking is not up to standard. But he’s got positives. He’s a bull, he’s a competitor and he’s very handy in our team…, hopefully they find a spot for him where he can use his strengths. _________________ Beware the swooping Magpie. |

Darcy Moore is an elite backman, elite, so leave him be, no ruck role, he may get badly hurt. But, other points he made were ok by me, he obviously thinks we have talented kids, and with Daicos no. 3, who knows how far we can go, under a new Coach ? I hope Rendell is right, actually. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Have you seen the sack Brown threads where Brown is attacked for handballing more than kicking? _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |
