... perhaps RB you should draw some conclusions from your disappointment. This is hardly the first time that Bux has come up with selection decisions that are so conservative that they are actually incomprehensible.

so who else do we have? who is fit?

Not sure if this was directed at me P2016, but I have never been a member of the fanatical "play the young blokes" brigade. I think in all my comments I have maintained that we should balance the young with the "old" and ensure that the young guys are suitably scaffolded with experience. In this situation, yes, I think Cox should absolutely have been played instead of Lynch, because Lynch will have no chance of impacting against Gawn and/or in the forward line, while Cox would have had some chance of doing so.

I’d have Cameron in the ruck against Gawn and take a punt and play either Will Kelly or Ash Johnson in the forward line (or both). We need tall forwards in the forward line, not ruckmen.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Elliott and McCreery complement each other in the forward line.

Hope this makes us more unpredictable for opposition defenders.

Really impressed with the pre-match presser given by Pendles. He really stepped up to the plate in the absence of Bucks and answered all questions with great maturity and wisdom. Hope he goes really well in what will be an emotional game for him on Monday..

Same here Jezza.
Of all the younger guys to play, McCreery is the one who I really like the look of. He has a real dip and can slot a goal from anywhere.

I think we'll give this a real shake.

I think Cox has only just recovered from injury so won’t be match fit enough. Also I suspect that Cox won’t play for the Pies next year and we want to give Lynch a go to see if he will sink or swim. What an experience for him to play against Gawn

He actually plated in a pre season praki match agin Dees and Gawn gave him a lesson first quarter and a half —-Grundy wasn’t playing (actually running laps) so they swung Roughead onto Gawn who at least broke even

Thru second half Max went back on Gawn and did OK.

Reckon we’ll start strong and fade out to be over run in the last 10 minutes and lose by a couple of kicks.
