Been a bit slack recently. But without a VFL game and only Murphy at this stage, here we are unofficially;

Quote:
Possible ins Vs Fremantle:
Grundy - Neck (1 week/Test).
Adams - Knee (1 week/Test).
Sier - Jaw (1 week/Test).

Unavailable:
McInnes - Ankle (Up to 6 weeks).
Howe - Hamstring (Up to 5 weeks).

TBA:
Greenwood - Concussion.
Murphy

Season:
T. Brown - Shoulder (Season)
Begg - Shoulder (Season)

Reef, Howe and Levi have been training and well on the road to returning.

We'll wait to hear what they say on Murphy.

Early days but Maynard’s hand has blown up. Doesn’t remember when he did it, which is hopefully a good sign.
Off for scans - 10 news.
Week off is very handy ( excuse pun )

Some disturbing news coming through tonight....

Quote:
DARCY Moore has a knee injury that has thrown his season into some doubt. The Collingwood star has a PCL strain. Unsure of the severity but I’m hearing it’s of a similar level to Andy McGrath, who is expected to miss 8-12 weeks with his PCL problem.

Grade 2 PCL for Darcy Moore. 8-12 weeks normally. Cruel blow for a side suddenly on a high.

And here we are unofficially:

Quote:
Possible ins Vs Fremantle:
Grundy - Neck (1 week/Test).
Adams - Knee (1 week/Test).
Sier - Jaw (1 week/Test).

Unavailable:
De Goey - Suspended (1 week).
McInnes - Ankle (Up to 6 weeks).
Howe - Hamstring (Up to 5 weeks).

TBA:
Greenwood - Concussion.
Murphy (Subbed out Vs Dees, waiting for news)
Moore - PCL (Likely season)
Maynard - Finger/Hand (Gone for scans, waiting for news)

Season:
T. Brown - Shoulder (Season)
Begg - Shoulder (Season)

Possible to return after the bye:
Grundy - Neck (Test).
Adams - Knee (Test).
Sier - Jaw (Test).
Murphy - Corked Leg (Test).
Ruscoe - Ankle (Test).

Unavailable:
De Goey - Suspended (1 week).
McInnes - Ankle (Up to 5 weeks).
Howe - Hamstring (Up to 8 weeks).

Waiting for news:
Maynard - Finger/Hand (Gone for scans, waiting for news).
Greenwood - Concussion (TBA).

Season:
T. Brown - Shoulder (Season)
Begg - Shoulder (Season)
Moore - PCL (Season)

Official update from the club on its way, hopefully giving us news on Levi and Maynard. All the tests I think should be available .

Latest injury update here:

https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/962383/grundy-given-green-light-adams-a-test

Quote:
See below for the full injury list, presented by AIA Vitality.

Mason Cox (larynx) - Available for selection

Back in full training after a knock to the throat saw him on light duties for a number of weeks. Returned via a VFL scratch match last week.

Brodie Grundy (neck) - Available for selection

Has been given the all clear to return to full training and will be available for selection against Fremantle.

Trey Ruscoe (ankle) - Available for selection

Back in full training after a minor ankle roll two weeks ago.

Brayden Sier (jaw) - Available for selection

Back in full training after the knock that saw him subbed out against the Crows.

Taylor Adams (knee) - Expected return: Test

Progressing through full football conditioning. Adams trained well on Tuesday and will look to do the same in Thursday's main session to put his hand up.

Nathan Murphy (quad) - Expected return: Test

Sustained a corkie in the early stages against Melbourne. Murphy is back in light training and will be assessed further on Thursday.

Tyler Brown (shoulder) - Expected return: 2022

Post-shoulder surgery. Brown is currently in early stages of developing strength and fitness while in a sling.

Aiden Begg (shoulder) - Expected return: 2022

Post-shoulder surgery. Begg is currently completing a running conditioning block.

Levi Greenwood (concussion) - Expected return: TBA

Ongoing concussion symptoms. Currently taking part in low level conditioning and non-contact football training. Updates will be provided when we have them.

Jeremy Howe (hamstring) - Expected return: 5 weeks

A couple of weeks away from football conditioning. Howe is currently completing a running conditioning block.

Reef McInnes (ankle) - Expected return: 3-5 weeks

Out of the moon boot and has started running conditioning, similar to Jamie Elliott's rehabilitation.

Darcy Moore (knee) - Expected return: 2022

MCL strain in the dying stages of round 13. Moore will be in a knee brace for 6 weeks before reassessing progress.

Have they forgotten about Maynard's existence? Besides Adams, the news around his injury is surely the one we're most eagerly awaiting.

I guess we have to assume Maynard is ok. When he was interviewed going in for scans, he said he didn’t remember doing it at the time.
I take that as a good sign in itself.
Could be anything but I don’t see how it would escape the news for a week if it was anything serious.

Cheers David.

Looking at that; Begg, T Brown and Moore are our LTI's. Moore being the one from our best 22.

Adams and Murphy will return very soon if not this week, with Howe and McInnes to return later in the year. But I wouldn't be surprised if we wrap Howe up for 2022. Levi is a worry. I hope he can come back and play a few games to end the season. I'm not sure if he'll play on next year.

afl.com.au's take this week:

Quote:
The Pies have declared Brodie Grundy fit to return from the neck injury he sustained against Geelong in round 11. Adams, however, is still facing a fitness test in order to prove he's over the knee injury he sustained against Port Adelaide in round 10. Murphy is still a test but appeared to be moving freely at training on Tuesday morning. Moore will be in a brace for at least the next six weeks meaning he's all but certain to miss the remainder of the season. - Mitch Cleary
