That’s more like it!

(But are the snowflakes millennials, or Gen Z (the one that follows)? This always confuses me.)

Neither of my kids watch FTA TV, my son might when footy or cricket is on. They also don't read newspapers or listen to radio

Good point.

You couldn't stream Life of Brian on Tik Tok without the snowflakes have en epic melt.

Laughing Laughing Laughing

My kids are 28 and 30 so I don't think they quite qualify for the Snowflake generation and neither of them are snowflakes anyway but your point is valid.

From memory, Life of Brian was subject to protests from the Christian lobby at the time of it's release.

Watched Thor and was disappointed with it and disappointed with the entire Marvel catalogue. They are just the lowbrow version of the X-men movies.

Interesting, thanks SB. Haven't seen most of these, needless to say (Fourteen, which I caught last year, is fantastic, while Lovers Rock and Sorry We Missed You are also well worth a look; I wouldn't bother with Shirley), but I'm particularly interested in the top two on that list. I'm currently trying to put together my own top ten for the Senses of Cinema critics poll, which is due on Monday, so wish me luck!

Have the poll results been released yet?
What was your top ten?

You've only just watched Thor? Shocked

It wasn't a great movie, but they got better. Thor Ragnarok was the best one.

The Iron Man movies were great. Robert Downey Jr took one of the Marvel B graders and made him star of the whole shebang.

Parasite was a beauty. I still need to checkout Killer of Sheep.

I think that's David's version of capital punishment.

You're strapped to a chair and forced to watch his movie choices until you lose the will to live. Wink

Saw great Aussie crime/murder mystery ‘DRY’ tonight at the Cinema. My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed it. Recommended as one of the best Aussie movies I have seen for a while.

That's what I watched,Thor Ragnarok and it was so over the top, it was neither funny, nor entertaining, just loud and and crammed with special effects. The Hulk fight scene comes close to one of the worst fight scenes in a movie.

The video below hilariously points out everything that is wrong with Wonder Woman 1984.

The Last Stand (2013)
Starring Arnie. This is one of those films you end up seeing a heap of times. No idea why. I dont overly love it, but its alright. The comedic timing is spot on and theres a cool scene where a bad guy is blown into pieces. It's worth seeing and with Arnie, you know what you're going to get.

8 Mile (2002)
Starring Eminem. Saw this way back when it came out and thought it was ok then. I saw Eminem live at the MCG and wanted to watch this in the lead up to that concert. But I only got around to watching it again recently. It's a decent film without being a multiple Academy Award winner or anything.

Backbeat (1994)
Starring Stephen Dorff. Any Beatles fan would have seen this before. The story about the Fab 4 before they were famous and really a Fab 5. I get a bit sad when I watch this film, not because of what happens with Stuart (Which is very sad), but because I always think to myself... Imagine being Pete Best. Right on the doorstep of an absolutely amazing life, only to miss it by a matter of months.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life (2003)
Starring Angelina Jolie. Will go down as one of the worst films of all time. I'd prefer to watch the 1980 Grand Final on repeat. The scenes are absolutely stupid. She actually cuts herself in the deep ocean to attract a shark, only to punch it in the face and ride it to safety. I absolutely hate not finishing a movie, but this one was unbearable. (I'd never seen it before, and I only saw the first one not that long ago, despite owning the DVD for about 15 years).
