Poulter v. Carrol at Pick 30 been a Interesting Discussion.
Both Top 20 Prospects.
Guess we went for Poulter over Carrol because Poulter is a Tall Mid(Like Pendles) and Hine said he Looked Closely at SA and Tassie NOT WA _________________ I am Da Man |

Jack Carroll slipped to 41. I've heard a few Carlton people say they've got the steal of the draft.
We'll see I suppose.
FWIW, I'm wrapped with Poulter. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

The pressure is more on the Crows who went with local boys all night.
They picked local mid fielders Powell at 13 ( real surprise ) and Cook at 25 and left us to grab Poulter at 30.
Carroll is a W A kid, so the Crows probably showed little interest in him.
I imagine the Crows would be tracking Poulters progress with considerable interest over the next couple years. |

I know quite a few rated Carroll highly especially Knightmare who was less enthusiastic about Poulter.
Others however rate Poulter highly so who’s to know. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Got me Dave.
Should have checked first rather than rely on memory.
Crows picked Pedlar at 11. Another S A mid who also went higher than expected. As you correctly highlighted, Powell went to North shortly after at 13.
Obviously the Crows rated Pedlar and Cook higher than Poulter.
The career comparisons will be interesting, particularly when you throw in Carroll as well. |

Pedlar was a Real Bolter.
Rated around 30+ Range.
Cook was interesting as he was talked up as a Possible Top 20 Pick but lasted to 25 and we Traded the Pick for him. We where Linked with Cook _________________ I am Da Man |

I wish I had that gut feeling.
My gut feeling is that I'm invariably hungry _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |
