I agree. We south of the Yarra have to suffer for the poorly behaved ruffians and unwashed north of the Yarra types _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Give it a few more days and I’m sure that situation would be rectified. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

From the ABC's blog:
Quote: | Victoria has recorded another 165 cases of coronavirus on the first day of a six-week lockdown in Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire, to its north.
Of the new infections, 30 are linked to known outbreaks and 135 are being investigated by health authorities.
The number of cases linked to the North Melbourne and Flemington public housing towers currently under a hard lockdown has risen to 111, with 18 more people diagnosed since yesterday.
Testing of the 3,000 residents of the nine public housing towers finished overnight.
....
A cluster linked to the Al-Taqwa College in Truganina, in Melbourne's west, has now become the state's largest after six more people linked to the school contracted the virus. The outbreak now sits at 113 infections. |
I note that the COVID Live site is recording 156 new confirmed cases, so it is possible that either the ABC or they have reversed a digit. Anyway, we will no doubt hear from the Premier later this afternoon.
According to COVID live, there are presently 40 Victorians hospitalised, 9 of them in ICU.
Edit: The apparent discrepancy between the ABC and COVID Live figures is that COVID Live reports a net 156 new cases on the basis that 9 prior cases have been reclassified.
