^ K gets offended if any team has no injuries at any time of the year
Houli still listed as TBC so may well miss rd2 as well. Nankervis, Graham & McIntosh were all supposed to return through the VFL after limited preseason so must also be in doubt as well, at least for rd1
On our side seems like the only expected first 22 player not potentially available is Treloar _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

Murphy has a fracture in his shoulder.
Not to serious according to Walsh.
Might need a second opinion on that as it doesn't sound to much fun to me.
Poor young Murphy had his first two seasons ruined with injury and his body of work to date is starting to resemble a young Benjamin Button. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Don't know how a shoulder fracture can not be serious, but Walsh may have moved his bar for seriousness. |

Heard in light of the covid-19 thing that stevo has been placed as emergency as a pre caution as he has had just got over his glandular fever that he had most of pre season. Sier didn't come up in time and just needs more time to get his fitness up to the right level. Treloar now has a tummy bug too and maybe in doubt again for round 2.Thats is if the AFL is still going by then that is.
Varcoe is tracking well and in a few rounds should be avail.
Greenwood likely to come back after that and is rapidly ahead of schedule and is back doing some runs.
Langdon situation is very murkey and is just a grey area so too Beams.
There is an inkiling that Beams could that's could play again but its a slim chance but its a maybe.
That's the goss from the club currently. In regards to injuries players etc....
Scharenburg back doing light runs and timmy broomhead and appleby back training with main group. |

Currently:
Ben Reid - Ankle (TEST)
Adam Treloar - Hamstring (1 week)
Isaac Quaynor - Hip (1 week)
Flynn Appleby - Ankle (1 week)
Tim Broomhead - Leg (1-3 weeks)
Travis Varcoe - Shoulder (3 weeks)
Lynden Dunn - Knee (3-5 weeks)
Levi Greenwood - Knee (14-19 weeks)
Dayne Beams - Mental health (Indefinite)
Tom Langdon - Knee (Indefinite)
So by May 31:
Levi Greenwood - Knee (4-9 weeks)
Dayne Beams - Mental health (????)
Tom Langdon - Knee (????)
Who knows, maybe Beams and Langdon could be back by then?
You'd think almost every team would be near 100% by then. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Anyone else concerned about IQ and he's relatively low input so far because of where he's bodies at. It's not anywhere near a real problem yet for the club but it would be nice if he was knocking down the door even if there was a season to speak of. _________________ no second chances |

COLLINGWOOD
Ben Reid - Ankle/Foot (TBC) (Last week listed as "Test")
Adam Treloar - Illness/Hamstring (TBC) (Last week listed as 1-2 weeks)
Travis Varcoe - Shoulder (3 weeks)
Lynden Dunn - Knee (3-4 weeks)
Nathan Murphy - Shoulder (3-4 weeks)
Levi Greenwood - Knee (15-20 weeks)
Dayne Beams - Mental health (Indefinite)
Tom Langdon - Knee (Indefinite)
Quote: | Treloar would likely have missed another game with a combination of a hamstring strain and a stomach bug that kept him off the track for several days. Reid would also have been in doubt. Varcoe was close to rejoining the main group after a shoulder reconstruction, while youngster Murphy is running as he rehabilitates from a fractured left scapular. Langdon is running lightly as he deals with a potentially career-threatening knee issue, but Greenwood seems determined to smash the traditional 12-month recovery timeframe for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. The Woods will also be conservative with Dunn in his bid to return from a second knee reconstruction. Meanwhile, Beams is reportedly set to retire. - Ben Collins

Murphy was missing from their list last week. Anyway he's back on it now as 3-4 weeks. No mention of IQ, Appleby or Broomhead; all must be ok.
Annoying that Reid and Treloar are now "TBC". Last week listed as a test and 1-2 weeks. So you'd think both would be ok within three weeks. At least the long break will be good for both of them.
If the season does get completed later into the year, it may buy a bit of time for Langdon, Greenwood and Dunn to play before finals.
By the time we get to May 31, Greenwood should be the only long term injury remaining. If things go smoothly, he should be a little over a month away at that time. We'll hope for good news on Dayne Beams and Tom Langdon in that time too. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Not sure if this been stated but Checkers copped a knee in the side in final qtr
He was finding it hard to breath for next two or three days and turned out he had a punctured lung —nipped training in the bud
After last Monday doctors visit lung still not fully inflating so he would be sidelined regardless _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Will checkers be ok how long side lined for I did not know apart from cox that we had any injuries from round 1. Even cox returned to the match it was just a knock to the ankle.
Checkers is a new injury bit of a concern hope he is ok. |

I have no access, Baz, but this looks like it, second-hand:
'“I had a bit of a cough and it is not a good time for that to be happening with the coronavirus stuff going on. “I got a scan and I remember the doctor saying I wasn’t going to be playing the next game or possibly the game after that, and all I could think of was I would have to miss a game.” Mihocek admits he was still having some issues two weeks on from when the injury occurred. “I’m still having trouble now with certain movements,” he said. “It’s a slow process but I’m getting there. I had a scan on Monday and it’s still not fully inflated, so I’m getting another scan this Monday to see if it’s okay.
“I’ve been doing some light weights and bike sessions at home and I can get through that okay. “Hopefully soon I can start running again.”' |

Good and thanks K and I’m sure all Magpie fans would be hoping for swift recovery to a fair dinkum team man
