I expect us to see Reid, Goldy, Elliott, Varcoe, Crocker, Appleby and possibly even Lynch depart at season's end. Greenwood deserves another year.

We might not Dave. But from the little VFL stuff I've watched, he doesn't seem to offer us much. This is his 3rd (I think) year, and he is yet to get a senior game.

I'm just saying he is a possible departee.

Lynch stays unless we recruit another ruckman, one who's not a developing kid.

IF we do we have to look for another Back-Up Ruckman.

Lynch has had some Really Good VFL Games this Season

In a staggering list management decision, Appleby was given a two year contract at the end of last year. Up there with the 2017 Crocker decision to extend him by two years.

In smarter list management news, Elliott was given only a 1 year deal this year with the view to seeing if he could produce a 35-45 goal, 18-20 game season. Hopefully we can find a suitor whose got the brains of Alan Bond in 1987.

Post subject: Jamie Elliott going to Hawthorn??Reply with quote

I have just seen on SEN the most horrible rumour imaginable: Jamie Elliott going to Hawthorn. I would be devastated if this is true because:
a) I love him as a Collingwood player and to see him playing for that revolting club would make me very sad
b) we need him in our forward line.
All the more reason to keep him if Dawkthorn are after him: he will be good for next year.
Keep him Pies.

MTTM, just reported on Fox Footy that Hawks, Melbourne and another club (Kangas????) have all offered him contracts with better pay and longer terms than we have. Looks like he'll be leaving, which is just devastating.
I hate the way footy has become so dominated by money.
