When the other plumbers all call in sick and my trip to Port Hedland is cancelled because I have to go to the mine site and cover there.
Straight on 24hr call from tonight, so no beer on my birthday. Bastards!

Japan resuming whaling.

About 20 years ago I was visiting the folks up near Fraser Island and they had 2 Japanese girls staying there as Lions youth exchange and another 2 were staying in the village. So I took the 4 of them to Hervey Bay and they went on a Whale watching boat whilst I visited a friend. I spoke to the crew before they set off to find out if anyone spoke Japanese. One bloke, a greenpeace member , did. he said he would give them some guidance in their own language.

When I got back the girls were in tears. Apparently he told them some of them could be killed by Japanese fisherman for needless food they were upset and promised to never eat whale and would protest back in Japan. One of thems dad was vice president of Mitsubishi and had plenty of coin.

Hopefully the boats will wander into disputed territory and be sunk by the Chinese Navy.

My laptop broke a week ago and need my tax rebate to get a new one . But the bank has locked my account due to password issues and I can't do my tax. So using an internet cafe.

^ good to hear from you!

Yes but let's face they never stopped just badged it as " scientific" Rolling Eyes

At least they are now only in their waters where hopefully an earthquake will cause a massive tsunami and sink them or the Chinese get them - be happy with either !!

Yeah, first world problems, the chip in my bank card decided to shit itself when I went to buy smokes right before catching the train home.

I was already later than usual, had 4 minutes to buy the smokes then get to the platform.

Couple of people in front of me at the shop, while I'm waiting a homeless guy comes up and asks if I could please buy him a small lemon chicken from the foodcourt. I'm like, ****, I've got a train to catch mate. So I dived into the fob pocket of the pants which had a mix of silver and gold in it, pulled out a decent chunk and gave it to him. NFI how much, could've been $3 or $15.

Then of course when I went to pay for the smokes, the chip in the card wouldn't work, even when I inserted it into the machine. If I hadn't given that bloke the coins, I may have had enough to pay cash, maybe not.

I've got google pay on the phone, which I didn't remember till after I got on the train, so I called into the bottle shop on the walk home to try that, didn't work. FML.

Had to come home, borrow mums card and drive to the supermarket.

So netball is not my sport but seriously not a mention in the news! Evil or Very Mad

So men's tennis (no Aussies) and cricket (no Aussies) and Formula One results where Dan finished 7th reported constantly and yet the Australian Diamonds defeated Sri Lanka at the 2019 Netball World Cup and nothing, nada, zilch - BOO media BOO!!!
