As much as I think Possum(McGough) should be allowed to develop some more, as he has some very good atributes. ie: very good handball skills, hard at the ball and the man, physical presence already and a very good football brain. His kicking can be worked on. Stevens is in the top echelon of possesion getters in the AFL and he is dead quick with excellent endurance. Take Stevens in a heartbeat.

we can get stevens for pratically nothing. stevens is holding port to ransom and port will never let him go for nothing. port are just bluffing that they will let him go to the draft to try and make us panic and give them something good. i reckon we could get him for pick 17 easy

I must admit I was never convinced about Stevens's credentials. He always seemed to gather soft possessions behind the ball, taking handballs from packs, after marks etc but I really liked his delivery, never missed a target. I suppose that's why they kept giving it to him.(Tredrea will miss him for sure).

What convinced me he could play, was his last game against us in the Prelim final. We threw everything and everyone at him and he was still, easily their best player.
If it was choice between McG, I'd take Stevens

Not a fair question.

How about we all re-assess this question when MCG is 23 years old.

Who would you prefer? Anthony Rocca or Adam Cooney? Fair dinkum give the kid a chance to get through puberty before we give him his judgement day!
