Get off his case, Piedys. He's already earned a place in next week's Posting XXII and will start on the ground. It was a good win this week and no-one deserves to be dropped but someone has to make room. Could it be you? _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

LOL, Dyso. I know my post was very bland, and it clearly lacked the imagination and creativity that the Bat produces. My strengths as a superhero are eating salt and vinegar chips, and making toast! So I'm not far off....

That would be grouse, coach! I'll get mum on the the old singer sewing machine to bang out a pair of footy shorts for me. I'm sure I've still got my velcro footy-boots somewhere as well. I don't think I've ever made a 'posting XXII' team since I became a member.

OOOOHHHH!! Scary mind-games from the super-coach.
Does it matter anyway? I'm getting traded/de-listed at seasons end,
and your contract for 2016 is going in the circular file.

Im not entirely sure how it happened, but I awoke to find myself on a smoky, fog-filled plain, the ground beneath me completely invisible and the horizon all around me, a dark grey panoramic. It was almost as if I was in the space between Heaven and Hell. Or as some other know it, Collingwood.
I looked around, trying to make sense of my surroundings, when a booming voice echoed from seemingly everywhere. Haunting, yet somehow strangely familiar.
You have done well, Dark Knight The Narrator (dont ask me how I knew his name, I just knew it, alright) said. You have completed the tests and endured the trials. But this is where it ends.
Fear gripped my heart like a cold blast of ice from Mr Freeze. Was my time really up? Is this really how it was supposed to end? And if so, why couldn't I get a rousing rendition of the climatic final scene music from Tim Burton's first crack at the franchise?
It was almost as if this person could read my mind, because as I was about to speak, The Narrator continued.
Your tale ends here, Dark Knight, said The Narrator. But the story never ends.
I steeled myself.
One question, I asked. Why?
Because ten against twelve into eight do not make, replied The Narrator.
The f-ck was this peanut on about?
Huh? was my puzzled response. I tried to think of something more substantive, more acerbic, but the sh-t was getting kinda freeky at this point, you know?
Your quest is completed now, Dark Knight, The Narrator said. But you still have tasks left to perform. Tasks? What tasks? But before I could ask what those tasks were, the ground disappeared from underneath me, and I fell.
I fell forever.
And then I woke up.
Was it all really a dream?
Instinctively, I dressed and headed down to the cave. Engaging the computer, I typed almost on instinct, thrashing out what ended up being a final series of what else? letters and numbers strings to complement the other 20 or so I've come across this year (I lost count after the fifth one in a row)...
Heres what I came up with:

Now, to perch myself on a rooftop or gargoyle somewhere near North Port Oval, and defend a perfectly good preliminary final berth from the hordes of Sandringham. And should that malignant Sherrin Slaugterer show his face again, I'll give that a seeing over too... _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

3 x so far.
I'll watch it a few times more.
Love the fast break style attack. We now have the quick hands and big bodies up forward to exploit it. |

we've been attempting the quick hands and fast ball movement for sometime now but it hasn't always been executed well. often we'd lament how the players seem to always be handballing tosomeone under pressure. when things come off they do look good and become more apparent. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |
