freo v pies - By Ed from WA

Its having an effect on my sense of humour watching games like this each week.
The pies started off slowly and then slackened off a bit.
the first half was played with a lot of intensity but little skill.
the second half was lacking intensity and skill.

As usual the umpires didnt see many pushes in the back but did see some that i wish they hadnt.
The rules of footy are too much up to interpretation,no matter what the decision one set of fans will be bewildered.
i blame the rules committee,made up of former midgets,for the way footy is played today,and for the umpires predicament as most rules are ambiguous.
whos holding who? a push or a block?in the back or holding the ball?
every decision could go either way most times.
lets get footy back to being the game i once loved .and understood.

sack the rules committee,let ruckmen go back to being allowed to use strength,lets stop all this keepings off stuff that puts most of us to sleep.

Any way that wont happen so we must get on with it.

We all saw the negative pieces,no need to elaborate on them.

rhyce? more turnovers than a bakery.
presti?how much more time does he want?

Im confused as to what MM is planning on for jason cloke.
he made a go of being the loose man in defence,so why doesnt MM want him to do that anymore?

there were a few good signs with mullins,swan and king playing ok.
we lack speed,and intent.
how many times did freo run thru the middle and score as opposed to us having shots from a bit further out that fell short?
our love affair with the boundary line is becoming tiresome too.
and when we turned it over in our fwd line,how were there so many loose dockers let free?
In my opinion connolly is a disgrace as a coach,any coach worth his salt would have dragged farmer early on.
freo are a rabble at times and play unwatchable footy,that doesnt say much for us though does it.

I have been saying since MM arrived that i hate the way he sets up a fwd line.and without tarrant ,buckley or leon,it was pitiful yesterday.
Rocca had a few brain explosions and missed 2 sitters.
woey is out of form.lika is too,burns is injured now too.

the future is next week.

but with a freo home game next week it probably will be delayed to buggery on tv.
I hate channel 9,have i said that before?
