Jarrod Witts

Tough one here. Witts really struggled for opportunity this season, particularly the 2nd half of the year. The Witts/Grundy partnership didn't seem to gel this year as much as we'd hoped for & Grundy looked to have went leaps & bounds ahead of Witts as the no.1 ruckman. A murmur of a trade to GWS to help get Treloar and aid a Kreuzer move to the Pies was quickly squashed after Kreuzer supposedly failed a medical at the Pies and that doesn't disappoint me. I'd rather hold on to Witts. He's still developing as his own player & as a partner to Grundy. They'll be a force together in the coming years, we just have to be patient. That doesn't change the fact it was a poor year for Witts, and the grade I have given reflects that. A developmental year you could say. Expect a bigger output in 2016.
