A small and dangerous forward, Davis was recruited by the club
in the 1999 Draft at pick 34. The elusive forward, Davis played
his first season in 2000, showing good signs - particularly early
in the season.
His best Performance came against Hawthorn in round one, when
he kicked four goals.
2001 was Davis' best year, when the small aboriginal caught opposition
teams off guard with his pace and skill.
Davis' best match came in round 17, when He destroyed the Western
Bulldogs with four goals. 2002 was another solid year for Davis,
who continued his improvement to help carry the Pies to a Grand
Final birth.
Davis was a major Disappointment in the big match, when he came
off the ground without a stat to his name.
2003 started brightly for Davis, before he faded midway through
the season. Infact,
Davis went 11 weeks without cracking the senior side. He was brought
in against Port for the Preliminary Final, where he kicked three
goals. Again, Davis was a Disappointment in the Grand Final, where
he barely improved on his 2002 match. 2004 was not a good year
for Davis, who was often second to the ball and didn't win it
himself. Kicking around corners also earnt him a spray from supporters
who disliked his inability to do the team things.
