I heard our Prez Eddie mention that we had broken our club membership record on Fri night. Does anyone know how many member we have Question

I have heard that on some AFL Club Web pages that they have their total updating on daily basis for all to see. I think this may be interesting to have on the CFC site as we near the magical 40,000.... Idea

I won't swear to it, but I'm pretty sure that I heard him say we had 33,000 up to Friday night's game Cool

Isn't it amazing what a Grand Final appearance can do.

But more so, what a courageous, gutsy and characterful performance can achieve.

The general public who are unsure of what team to follow see a performance like Collingwood's last year and arrive at the conviction 'I want to be apart of that'.

The member figures we see today are a reflection of exactly that sentiment.

Ed said 33,000 on TFS last week, so I expect it to be 33,500+ at the moment.
40,000 is acheivable, but with the war and rising fuel prices, deflating share prices, it's going to be a struggle.

when i told some essendon supporters they said that our membership tally includes AFL members in it but whn they say their tally it doesnt...i dont really believe them, does anyone know anything about this?
they think weve got about an extra 5,000 AFL members included in ours, funnny enough thats just how much we are above them by

I am an AFL member with Collingwood Club Support. The cost of the seasons ticket goes direct to the club, so therefore I am counted as a CFC member.
I believe that this is the case with all clubs.
So AFL Essendon Club Support would be counted as an Essendon member also Exclamation
