I am repeating my question, is it time for him to pull out his finger? I am not trying to be too critical. I just think for a major forward he doesn't kick enough goals and he takes the soft option of running up the ground all the time. |

Running up the ground is often called a "lead"

Tarrant is going into his 6th year. 86 games 137 goals.
Make or break year, bar injury of course.
Injured hip last year is no excuse, if it was hampering him he should not have been playing.
If he is being used as a decoy, ie taking the best defender, then he is over paid.
Fortunately at the moment we don't need him firing. Do we need him at all?
I hope he has a good year, maybe he is over rated, jury is still out. |

Nicholas, I would like to ask "Why are you repeating your question"?
Your other thread is still going so what is the point? _________________ If you bleed black and white you'll never walk alone. |

I still think tarrant played very well last week, it's hard to kick a bag full when it's a slow game and there are 8 leading forwards chipping around you. He worked hard off the ball (yes, even up the ground!) and lead well. Hopefully for him it will pay off with a bag of goals before long.

IMO he would be a far better half forward flanker than a full forward anyway, so i actually like to see him working hard up the ground, even if it means getting kicks on the wing. he would still kick 30+ goals a year and take a good player to stop him each week. |

Nick:
I Like to see you play his pisition, when u can please message or email me and i will be your manager.
Think of it, in some games he has 2 men on marked on him, and secondly when you have so many options in the forward to kick to.. I.E A.Didak
A.Rocca etc etc you cant help him not gettin the ball but i can tell ya one thing about tazza, he goes in for the hard ball gets and if u dont agree so be it..
P.S remember if u get in2 the Collingwood Side, as a full forward please let me know. _________________ We're running out of alibis

As JLC said, it's called a lead!
I like when he comes up the ground and takes mark.
Setting up oppurtunities is just as important as recieving them.
I like it. It's work ethic. |

Taz does his job each week and I have proof that is undisputable. Who on this board is present when MM lets taz know his job on the field. I am guessing but I reckon none of us. I am also guessing when I say that I don't think its the same role every week. Some days he would be the main focus, others not.
The proof that he does his job each week is that MM is still persisting with him, obviously he's doing the job well enough each week for MM to be happy with him. Otherwise MM would drop him - proof of this is a final where he dropped the captain John Worsfold against the doggies.
MM gives him a job to do and whilst we'd love him to kick 10 goals a game I'll rate Taz on whether he earns his spot....MM is the decider on that. So far so good if you ask me. _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.
