All the articles i've read about the recent passing of Neil "Nobby" Clarke don't indicate the circumstances of his sudden passing. Does anyone know? It's all a bit sus. May this indicate that there were extenuating circumstances? _________________ CARN THE PIES |

You know what was interesting..... This morning on the MMM news at 7:00, Jamie Bradshaw said "Essendon's Nobby clarke passed away - say no more...". To me that implied something unusual had happened.
Who feels masichistic enough to read the Essenscum BB's and see if their is any Goss? I doubt my stomach could handle their whinging over Saturday's loss... ha ha ha |

Usually if the cause of death is not mentioned, one could assume that it may have been by their own hand, though reports neither confirm or deny this, nor am I implying that it happened in this particular case, so I guess you will have to wait for the coroner's inquest to find out.
All the same, very sad news. |

Check out this article by Tim Watson. It would appear, by the Lifeline Phone number at the bottom of the article, that he did indeed commit suicide. A tragedy!

I have known Nobby for about 10years...We trained at the Brody gym every morning before work. He was one of the nicest blokes you would ever have the pleasure meeting.
I remember one morning the news broke Collingwood poached Noel Judkins from Essendon, we spoke for a while on the benifits and class Noel would bring to the pies and the rest is history.
His knowlege of the game was exceptional, he would talk about footy with the boys in the mornings for what seemed like hours.
He will be missed, simply Nobby was 1st class all the way..
Nobby will be missed by the footy world.
RIP

Yes a very sad passing indeed as I come from the Ringwood/North Ringwood area that "Nobby" was recruited from and had the miss fortune of attending a funeral at Christmas of a former Norwood High School ( thats North Ringwood ) student who it seems went the same way
WHY DONT THEY HOLD OUT THEIR HAND IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY
