Latest TV info according to Foxtel/Ch 10.
Channel 10 are showing the Swans V Blues game LIVE on Saturday night.
Fox latest Fox footy extra Channel:
Round 1 none.
Round 2 ......St.K V Crows Live
Port V Lions Live.
Cats V Roos Live
Round 3.......WCE V St.Kilda Live
Port V Dorks Live.
Tigers V Froe Live.
Round 4.......Cats V 'D' Live
Bulldods V Scum Live
Freo V Roos Live
Round 5.......Dorks V Tigers Live
Crows V Port Live
Freo V WCE Live

I ask you what is the use of having Fox footy channel in Sydney,when all it apparently gives you is repeats and Port games.

I wont be around after April 8th,so I will be tunedin by ABC radio.
We will be in Central West NSW in two weeks.

Pete, the Foxtel website says that Footy Extra will show Pies v Tigers in NSW at 9:30 on Friday night, again at midnight, 4am, 8am and midday. Also, 8pm on Monday.

I've had a fair crack at the Foxtel arrangements in the past, but I would have to say that the extra channel is definetly a step in the right direction.

decided against the Fox Footy channels this year,as we wont be here and where we are going in rural NSW,I aint gonna worry about it for awhile.

Friday night and you can't even get a live game of football!!!! like fair dinkum AFL get your shit together! The fans got robbed when they signed this tv deal.
the AFL last year beat their chest about getting games on pay tv, but whats the point of getting pay tv if you still can't get a live game of footy, foxfooty's line up for friday night:

why not have the game on live in Qld?? nine will tell us that it doesn't rate well enough to have on early, so why not let it go on pay tv live? I mean even if you don't have pay tv you could atleast go to the pub and watch it live.

What really has got up my nose about Foxtel extra channel is that Collingwood will be shown every Monday night on Ch15 and on Ch14 will be On the Couch at the same time therefore unless you can tape one you wont be able to watch both. How can Foxtel stuff so badly.

Listening to A. Demetriou on White Line Fever last night, I noticed him saying that the game will be shown at 8:30pm on pay TV. Since FOX footy isn't showing it til 9:30pm I got confused and sent the AFL an email.
Guess what - I got a reply within 2hours!!!!!

The media person said that the AFL is seriuosly frustrated about this situation and they are doing things (which echos what Demetriou said last night). Anyway I received a copy of a media release, which I hope I can post here.

MEDIA RELEASE FROM THE AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The Australian Football League wishes to confirm Friday night coverage in the Canberra and Riverina markets for 2003.

WIN Television will broadcast the Friday night game at approximately 10.40pm, which is thirty minutes earlier than in 2002. They will broadcast the Collingwood v Richmond game this Friday 28 March at 10.40pm.

On pay TV, the games will be broadcast on Austar's Main Event channel at 8.30pm and on Fox Footy Channel at 9.30pm.

interesting...... the main event ch is a pay per view channel, are they putting it on for free or will you have to pay for it???

Todays tv guide says nine/win here in the wide bay area are showing the game at 10:40pm

I have rung foxtel about friday footy.
They would love to show friday games live in WA but are not allowed to show it until channel eddie has shown it.
9 have the friday rights.
and as they always do the bastards show it 3 and a half hours after it started so they can draw it out and fill more ads in it.

So i will be listening to the game live on the 7 fridays we play and then wait until fox show it.
channel 9 can get completely stuffed.
here is one bloke who is boycotting 9s footy coverage this season entirely.as a personal protest.
if enough of us tell 9 to go jump and stick their late replays they may get the message and show it live or nearer to live than they do now.

after all they can show swimming at 7 on friday night so why not footy>

At least we will get TWO live games on ch10 this year and they are both in PEAK PERIOD......guess who we play...The Swans.Live on CH10 at 7:30pm,and on a saturday night.
Give the NRL a run for their money....hehehehe.

It's official!

The game will be broadcast on FOX Mainevent in NSW at 8:30pm free to any FOX Footy Channel subscriber.

Took about 10min of nagging the FOX hotline to get this information.

Some of us will be at the Aussie Rules Club, Kings Cross to watch this.

I can tell you that I aint paying for Fox Footy Channel/Foot Extra and last night I watched the game on the TV,and even today I watched some of it at 12:00mid day.Dont know whats happening,but I sure aint complaining about it!!!!!!!
There is a live game on Ch10 now and then tonight as well.
Suck SH*T channel 9.
