Mr Skills - Shane Morwood was cool as ever.

Fabulous Phil Carman re-lived his past glories & Daics played with "THE GOLD JACKET" for 10 mins in the last quarter.

Rowdy & Micky Gayfer were also good players. Little man Francis was terrier like as ever.

Shawy coached better than circa 96-99, although this list could of beaten most of the duds he was dealt with.

Manassa managed a 10 metre run !

Carlton even cheated by having an extra 4 players on the field but the Black & White's still got up !

At least we can now say the last game Collingwood played at Princes Park we actually won.

I wasnt even going to go but some phone calls after lunch changed my mind and it was a ripper of a day..phil carman still looks pretty fit and i reminded him of the day he stood on top of graeme moss's shoulders at victoria park many many years ago to take the specy of the century, he replied "yeah i took a few of them" what a legend.

Phil manassa is fast becoming a ray gabelich look alike my god he has put on weight and no way now would he be able to do that dynamic run and 50 meter goal of the 1977 grand final.

Damien monhorst looks heavier and it was good having a friendly chat to umpire russo.

Morwood still cool as ice and daics still has some slinky moves, david cloke looks as though he could go another season although after the game he said he was feeling ratshit.

Chris dalkin what a shame a knee injury finished this guys career could of been anything.
all in all it was a pleasurable day just to sit back and remember 'once upon a time' when these oldies were champions of the game..should be more of it was fantastic !!

Thanks for the great match review Sly. Sounds like Carlscum will NEVER change - and it was wonderful to read about our 'old' boys - would have been great to see it all first-hand. And why isn't Monkey our ruck coach???
