Good article, WPT, thanks for posting these are my thoughts, more or less. Political correctness is not just something made up by The Daily Telegraph, but a problem for the left too. The pushback to it may end up being much worse than the problems it was used to deal with in the first place see Trump, Donald.

I would've thought the Left would've learned this in the 90s. Instead they went away for 20 years and came back even harder, doubling down on the outrage and offence.

Culture Wars 1 led to the likes of GW Bush and Howard, Culture Wars 2 is heading towards Trump, and a long run of LibNat government here (decidedly more moderate now than when the run started) with a bevy of Nationalist parties making up the balance of power in the Senate.

As I said elsewhere about the article in question, Had potential, made some good points well but too much quartz mixed with the gold or as they say on the cooking shows, too many elements on the plate that don't work together. 6/10

Great top see & quite a few years too late. Nice seeing bullies getting their comeuppance & experience the consequences of their actions.

That New Matilda article was excellent.

I didn't realise that the White Ribbon campaign was so shallowly focused and based on that very flimsy, almost Orwellian, 'language is the problem' premise.

A sadly wasted opportunity.

Funny how they wait until it's all died down to make a decision, pretty piss poor company really. Everyone expected them to not have the balls to do anything, and they proved it. They got their five minutes of promotion, and then lost their balls when it counted.

Good job, Holden.
