.. I was sick (must have been real sick as I only had one beer) and it was only a preseason game. There was no point to me leaving early. The crowd streaming across the bridge was immense. And the next train I wanted to catch probably did not turn up until after the game had ended.

I think fleeing into the Lockyer Room does count, so I might be guilty of leaving early by default (because I probably have not emerged to watch a few last quarters).

The only game I turned up to Waverly I left at half time. But I was sick that day too (and we were getting pumped by Dunstall, and it was pissing down).

Overall I think leaving early for work, cause you are sick, or cause you live far away are all legitimate excuses for leaving early. So there might have been a lot of sick people, who had to work, far away who attended the game on Saturday night.

PS One of the posters on this topic was NOT even at the game! I am sure he reckons he had a decent excuse.

Oh and the funny thing is she got divorced anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was like seeeeeeeeeeee i could have gone to the footy anyway.......lol

However there is a good tale to this story and that is she is married to a Collingwood supporter now Smile

PiePark, the game against Sydney in May is here in Victoria. I notice your location is Victoria, so hope you haven't booked a flight to Sydney to Telstra Stadium, as this game is played at Telstra Dome (colonial). We play in Sydney in rd 21 (23rd August).
