Tell me more. Let's get back to that later. Socrates was the smartest man, because he knew what he did not know.

Its always sad to lose a game...even if it is in March....but I think the boys realise now that you cant win football matches in 15 minutes all the time....you have to work hard for the whole 120 minutes...
the worry really is the injuries and suspension (possible)....
I have had enough practice...bring on the REAL STUFF
I think everyone would rather win in Round 1 anyway?????
Now the tigers have Collingwood on the rebound....LOOK OUT

Its funny when you think about it........this time last year our form was pretty bad yet there seems to be more of an outcry this year??
This year i think our depth has improved further so any complacency will be squashed pretty quickly
McGough, Freeborn, Shaw, Lokan and Cole will all be hungry for senior football.

I noticed in the 2nd 1/4 that Presti, Buckley, licuria, burns, fraser and Didak were on the bench. presti and bucks were injured, however small and MM swung one of the largest interchanges i have ever seen. The secenario was simple, under no circumstance was MM going to put our top players under risk of injury for the sake of a pre-season match.
GF or not, it was simply a pre-season match and I believe not much can be read by it. Adelaide were wanting to win, and we wanted to protest our frontline.
And as soon as Presti left the field Carey came on(WHAT A WUSS).
Our only problem and weakness is our clearances. We are still deficient in the ruck.
So really the Crows ran over us in that 1/4 when our front line players left. The Lads lost their way a little that 1/4 but matched it with a full strength Crows side.
Not much to worry about as far as I am concerned.

After reading posts on this subject I think we played as well as the crows let us - didn't give us an inch when we had the ball and stopped our running game. McLeod - wish he was wearing black/white stripes.

sheet that's over the top, good job cam. I notice the bb even backpaid it on previous posts. Beanie would be very difficult, youd have to scrunch his hair and fill in the subtle background.

Pathetic to blame the umpires. We got smashed 61-8 in the hitouts, got smashes at the stoppages, got smashed in the clearances. Enough said - that's where we lost it - not the umpires.
It's only March people and Adelaide have recruited to win the flag this year. Problem with that is the older you are the longer the season can be. Having said that though the Crows have beaten Port, West Coast, Kangaroos and Collingwood - all teams that made last year's finals - we've beaten the wooden spooners and two other teams (undermanned too) who didn't make the finals. Their form has been much better than ours.
Good reality check for us on where we are really at.
Positives are aplenty. Shaw and Lokan will be handy, Molloy is like a new recruit, Williams and Woewodin will give us something but we will continue to get smashed in the ruck and that will continue to be our achilles heel against the best teams (Brisbane, Adelaide & Port).
Tarrant's charge was always going to be dismissed but Presti's ankle is a worry. He is our most important defender now.

Will Molloy's body survive the whole year, he could hardly walk on Sunday?

Angel - did you ever see Len Thompson play? In the year he won the Brownlow, he coudn't walk till Wednesday, and he didn't have access to half the modern technology we enjoy today.
Let's view Molly's glass as half full this year.
